Yes, I tried Internet Explorer last week and there were none of these type of problems.

However, what with other security and performance issues of IE, most would not want to use it.

It's been a long time since I've run into anyone actually using IE anymore. At least it's good to know there is an alternative. Those bastards at MS track me enough through the OS without me giving them more data through the browser...

My Windows 7 computer with the updates on Firefox running Ad-blocker is doing everything that others are posting. My Windows 10 computer running the same browser and ad-blocker is just like it was before...notifications, photos etc all showing. Strange, I know I won't be turning ad-blocker off so I guess I'll miss some of the post photos and notifications.

I also have been having some problems with Win 7 and Firefox only on this site. I figure if enough of you complain it will eventually get fixed. It all started a week or so ago.

Hey guys,

These are known issues and we currently have the tech team looking into it.
The notification issue should be cleared up by now.

Can you guys test that out?

Richard.

Nope, click on notifications and the subscription window opens. I have 1 Notification, but I can't get to it. Windows 7 using Firefox with Adblocker Plus.

No joy for me either. Also just discovered you can't submit a reply to a thread without turning off Adblock or Ublock Origin. Click on the submit reply button and nothing happens...

Can you guys switch to the "Classic" forum layout using the bottom left menu. The issues should only be happening with the "Full" layout

Thanks Kevin !

So then, is this some change here at this site, or a temporary glitch, or the way things will be form now on?

It only seemed to start recently and other forums I am on do not have these quirks.

Note: I tried just disabling my Add-ons and Extensions in Firefox 52.0.2, but things still were wonky. So I did the following:

You could try what I did. I uninstalled all blockers, etc (only had 3 items) then installed an older version of Firefox 48.0.2. Then I reinstalled Adblock, Ublock Origin, and Disconnect. BUT - - I have UBlock Origins disabled just for this site. The only way it works.
Also, Firefox auto updated me to 52.0.2 again yesterday and it still is working fine. So it appears the Forum does not like Ublock Origin. I also have Disconnect running and it seems ok.

It's just a glitch going on with the Full Skin. I believe it should be fixed now though. Anyone still having issues, give your cookies a clean just in case, and then let me know

Now that you've switched over to classic, are you still seeing the same issues?

Sorry I had switched back to Full display to see if you had fixed it. Send me a like or quote and I'll check. I actually like the classic display because of the darker background. Much easier on the eyes...

If that works for you, then all for the good. If you are still seeing the issue with Full Skin, then clear cookies and try it again. Still happening, let us know. Fix should have been applied

I'm using the most up to date version of Chrome, and it won't even let me switch to the "classic" skin, nothing happens when I click on it. I'm also still experiencing all the same issues everyone else has, and I've cleared my cookies with no luck.

EDIT: it took disabling all my adblocker's, re-adding the exceptions, logging out and then restarting Chrome and signing back in before any of the changes made took effect.

Adblocker was discovered to be the key element. Unclear if we changed something, they changed something, or both, but suddenly it was no long compatible with the site. If you are using an adblocker on the site, I have the steps to make it compatible again. Just let me know what kind of blocker you are using
