Class Action Lawsuit for Transmission

I got the following link in an email from carcomplaints.com. I don't remember seeing this discussed before. Although, I have had transmission issues in the past, I don't feel like this litigation is necessary. Just some lawyers trying to make some money.

My 2015 Canyon is in the shop right now with one of the issues a slow downshift when accelerating from a turn. While an irritant, it is certainly not something for litigation. Lawyers should be severely penalized for taking forth frivolous cases.

I was having downshift issues when reaccelerating from 35 mph and passing on the highway but never something to cry about I just learned how much gas I need to give it to downshift properly without taking off like a rocket.

Fishing expedition to try to find some work by this lawyer. We have a pretty decent number of trucks represented here. If there was really an issue with vehicle stopping and then needing to be restarted, I think we would know about it here. If someone had their transmission replaced multiple times, I think we would have heard about it here, and there are specific laws to address that, spelled LEMON LAWS.

The suggested issues people are seeing:

Drivers have reported that the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles containing these transmissions stall and/or shift out of gear while being driven. Some drivers have described the vehicle as abruptly stopping during accelerating and then requiring the vehicle to be turned off. Other owners have reported that the vehicles will delay in shifting, bang, clunk and not downshift as anticipated. Some owners have even reported the need for multiple transmission replacements.

I will refrain from making some other comments about this personal injury lawyer.

With the history of auto manufactures and poor quality, how can you blame the attorney?

Wait, are you the one that sued Subway because your footlong was only 11 1/2". These lawsuits don't affect the manufactures they just pass the cost onto the consumer.

We should let VW skate on their emissions system fraud and not let the defrauded customers sue because future VW customers will have to pay more? Ideally we would be showing some folks the inside of prison for a decade or so, but that isn't how we punish white collar crime in the US. What is really concerning is people that think this stuff should go un punished.

For every foreign car imported from any country we should export a lawyer to that country.

I would say that at a minimum GM will take notice - and possibly address the current customer concerns with respect to these transmissions.

Everyone hates lawyers til they need one. Then usually hate 'em again after they get the bill! Sometimes they're the right "tools," for the job.
