54 years old. First truck I bought when I was 16, 1952 Chevy pick up. Then I owned a bunch of cars and in the late '80's I bought a '53 Chevy pick up. Street rodded it with a 350, mustang 2 IFS, 411 gears, etc. Then I got a '94 S10, a '04 Colorado and now I have a '16 Colorado. I loved the '53 Chevy street rod. Sold it for down payment on our first house.

I'm curious as to all of our twins owner's ages.

I'm 43 and prior to buying my Canyon in July, I have driven 1/2 & 3/4 ton trucks for many years. I haven't owned a mid-sized or small truck since the mid 90s.

What's your age?
Has a mid-sized truck been the norm for you?
60 years young, first truck @ 18 was a '72 Ford F100, been in trucks since. 2 Canyons a '04 CC SLE with 315000 miles and a '16 SLT dmax.

50 here, 5th truck, would be lost without one. 86 Nissan, 96 Dakota, 2000 Dakota, 2005 GMC Canyon, and now my 2016 Colorado. My summer time fun car is a 1996 LT4 Corvette. Only thing I don't like about a truck is friends and family constantly asking me for hauling favors...LOL!

Very interesting into, thanks. One of my interests was do people who've spent time in full size tend to stay in them or move to mid-sized at some point. Also if some tend to stay with mid-sized if that's what they've owned in the past.

I've owned a lot of trucks ranging from s-10, ranger & older Yotas to 1 tons. They all have a place in the market.

Lol find it funny how the OP tried to end the thread but nope it kept going.
27 years old and my 16 Canyon Diesel 4x4 is my second truck but 4th vehicle overall.
Age 16 - 96 Honda civic. Was my dad's and once I got my license it was a hand me down.
Age 18 - 05 Colorado I5 2wd. Desperately wanted a midsized truck since I got my license so I could take my ATV out and use it for river and riding trips. Parents were generous and got me a used one. Had it for 7 years till I got rear ended at a stoplight hard and totalled it.
Age 26 - 98 Acura TL2.5 I5. Needed a vehicle for a new job (current job) but didn't want to spend money on anything nice since I wanted the Canyon with the Diesel but wasn't coming out for another year. Got this from my cousin for 2 grand with only 30,000 on the odometer. It's actually a pretty freaking nice old car. Still using it for my work commute. Going to run it into the ground.
Age 27 - Canyon. Love it. I'm married and don't have any kids yet. Canyon Diesel is perfect for us. Plenty of room and storage. Comfortable. Don't tow anything with it yet but a couple years down the road I'd be looking at a couple things. We do go off roading a lot. Nothing crazy but just to go down trials to enjoy the view or ride. Plan on having this thing for at least 8 years.
Assuming life goals work out roughly to what we are planning I'd probably be moving up to a full size next time around. Mainly cause we would actually need the space and utility. Ideally I'd be in a midsize forever. Lol

Thirty here. Third car I've owned, first truck (2016 Colorado V6 Z71). Learned to drive on my dad's '92 Chevy 3/4 ton diesel with extended cab and bed. I'm a short guy (5'6''), so mid-size felt like I wasn't driving a whale. Also wanted to be able to put it in the driveway without dinging the door edges; thanks to the backup camera I can back the truck into the driveway right down the middle and still be able to open all 4 doors to the first notch without hitting the retaining wall.

First car I owned I had for 14 years; 1994 Saturn Sedan (2001-2015). Then I had a 2005 Saturn Vue SUV for 5 years (2011-2016). That Vue served me quite well, but I hated bagging all my yard debris and throwing it in there only to have spiders in my cab for a couple days. Nothing like driving over a busy bridge and watch a spider descend from the ceiling in front of you, aiming right for your lap! Don't have to worry about that with a truck now. Plus hauling furniture and camping stuff will be easier.

75 and have owned lots of vehicles, Ford Ranger, Sonoma Crew, 3 GM I/2 tons, one Ford,(lots of problems) and several old corvettes, including 54 and present 69 L36. Loved the Sonoma, and Chev Avalanche, and last 2008 Silverado. Also like present 2015 Canyon Crew SLT except kind of miss the low end torque of a V8.
