Must have been a 16. A search on Cars only had 16's in orange nationwide.

If you are considering summit white, be cautious of "rail dust" as GM likes to call it that takes many hours of clay barring to get out of the paint. Tiny orange rust colored dots mainly on hood and roof. Had it on my 2014 ATS, my 2015 Sierra 2500 and now my 2016 Colorado.

Interesting. Something to look for at the dealership. Thankfully, I have none on mine.

I didn't notice anything, but I would probably clay it anyway. Thanks for the tip, I'll will check more closely & do a baggie test.

The only color for me... seems to stay cleaner longer like it doesn't show the daily light dirt and dust...

Now rain and mud is a different story...

white is right!

Took 'em off and did a couple coats of Rustoleum Premiere in Safety Red. It's held up really well over a year later. Other people have plasti dipped. Here's a thread I posted when I first did it.

I just ordered a Canyon Denai that came so close to being white but the more i looked at my current 2015 SLT in Copper Red metallic ( which I love) i knew the Denali should stand out.....Red Quartz tintcoat should achieve that end.

2015 Canyon, SLT, CC, 4x4, Copper Red Metallic, Nav, Bose, Trailer pkg, Safety pkg, Eng heater, steps, Extang tri fold hard cover, flaps.

I love white, I will be posting up my truck in the project section pretty soon. 16 cc Z71, custom grille, RK hood, RC flares, custom Anzo's, 20x12's on 33x12.5's with spacers, led's all around, and a few other little tid bits. You could get some ideas. All white paint gets the tiny rust specs that is a pain to get out of the paint, which I'm sure they get on every paint color but just show up on white more.

My first car, a 1962 Corvair was white. Fell in love with the clean look. 90% of my cars and practically all my trucks since have been Summit White. Also, they are much cooler in hot Texas summers.

The color I am seeing around me on new cars on the road is variations of the red quartz. It looks cool, but it strikes me as "trendy" and I don't want to be trendy.

Love my summit white Z71, but do agree that adding accents to break it up really do help distinguish it from the "utility company" trucks.

I hope the Canyon Denali comes out with the cream color(off white) that they have on the Sierra Denali's,

White looks great with either black accents or lots of chrome

My black truck looks great when it is clean. A white truck looks great until it gets dirty.

Rail dust eh? Sounds like what i have on my summit white Colorado. But mostly on the tailgate ,clay bar does not take it off. Only have 4800 miles. Might take it back to dealer to look at. Still under warranty.

It may be from transport on the car hauler. Some trucks ride with their butt into the wind, and get plastered with all kinds of junk.

I really wanted red rock metallic, but the wife didn't like the color. We compromised on Summit White, and I've been happy with it. Two more upsides to white, shallow scratches don't show up, and its not going to fade

Its difficult to tell, but I've got a black Extang 2.0 Solid Fold tonneau on the back. It really goes nicely with the white truck in my opinion

As you can see I have red rock metallic, and it's a sharp color, but it shows swirls pretty bad, as you say white will hide such.

I'll be going with Summit White as well.

It comes down mostly to functionality. My truck will never spend a day in my garage where my Vette and bikes all live. In the TX Sun, non white vehicles can have pretty awful paint after 8-10 years where the rest of the vehicle is just fine. Even if white doesn't start off looking better, it looks better in 10 years on an outside vehicle that's for sure.

It doesn't show swirls, is easy to paint match, doesn't require as much AC to cool down, etc..

I do LOVE that sort of glittery blue they put on the full size Sierra. If that color becomes available on the '18 Canyon Denali I'd be all over it.

i saw a white Z71 the other day and loved it, it would be my 2nd pick if I couldn't get Laser Blue. Krystof's picture is a perfect representation of how the white with black accents looks.
