Would love to buy that supercharger, but it's not on the cards atm. How does it feel 0 to 60?

Is the water tank just additional coolant for the intercooler system?

And Dino results?

Pic of the water tank?

Thanks!

Yes the tank is additional coolant for the intercooler system. Recommended if you are going to being towing. The Facebook page Mallett Cars and website MallettCars.com has dyno on it. Don't have good pics of the water tank, cant see it in under the hood pics.

Ran 8.7 to 9.0 on the 1/8 spinning the stock tires...That's like 13.65 to 14.0 1/4 mile times. Handles so nice pulling out on the freeway with added power. :)

Would like to see some vids while driving, accelerating, towing if you put any up. I've been considering the kit. I inquired about it to Mallet but I haven't gotten a response from them...

Co
Yes it is a super nice package! Cost of basic Supercharger is $6900.00 with Custom high volume tank is additional $300.00. You can DIY, its a bolt on kit, we include a detailed manual with color photos. You can have a dealer install out there (you are in California currently?) We will tune the ECM no additional cost. And of course you can come to our shop in NC and have the Mallett team install. $1200.00. We have our Carb EO numbers so our system is legal in California. The water tank really aids in towing and at high altitudes!
Check out the website, MallettCars.com and Facebook page Mallett Cars.

Front end looks really high...or is it the photo?? I see you are using a WDH, so I would not expect the backend to sit lower.

It has a 35'+ trailer hooked up to it, I'm not surprised by the squat.

Can't speak for the suspension, but with the Mallet supercharger his truck is putting down more torque at the wheels than a Sierra / silverado V8, so the motor can certainly handle the load.

This truck has a leveling kit so it raised the front 1.700 in height. That contributes to the tail down look. Plus the chains weren't pulled up tight yet, the trailer was empty when the photo was taken. The guys picked up 2000 lb worth of exhaust systems. It tows really nice. Handles that trailer easily.

Yeah...I would not add a super charger so I could pull more weight...You still are dealing with the same suspension and short wheel base. I would add it to make the pull more effortless on a load that is within stock specs.

The trailer is 28 feet long. The truck has a leveling kit so it raised the front 1.700 in height. That is why it looks tail down. Plus chains weren't pulled tight. The trailer was empty in photo, guys were headed to pick up 2000lbs of exhaust systems. Handled the load nicely. :)

Staying within weight limits, with the Supercharger and the custom exhaust system it pulls great.

Is the only reason that there is only a 7000lbs towing capacity on a gasser is because of the power band? If that's the case i might just have to get a supercharger some day.

The tow rating of a vehicle is based on a number of things, engine power, brakes, suspension, etc. power alone does not change the towing rating. More power will make the towing a bit less strenuous.

Always stay within the OEM ratings with any vehicle, regardless of modifications made.
