:serious:
Being in the deep south of Texas where trucks of all kinds are majority vehicles on the road.
But where I work my truck keeps getting wowed by my fellow workers and alike (or in shopping mall/Walmart parking lot).
Seriously the 2G Colorado is still a rare breed even here in Texas.
How about yours in your locality?
All the Advanced Auto parts have them for delivery vehicles here. USIC underground utilities locator service company uses them, so they are always parked on the side of the road. The USDA is now using Z71's for farm inspection fleet, and in various colors. So, no shortage around here.
Here the numbers are growing for the Colorado but the Canyon is rare. Even the dealers hold very few in inventory.
As of now I have only seen two Denali models mine and a black one at a dealer. I have never seen one on the road.
May at work have seen mine and think I bought a Sierra Denali. They see it and think it is a full size till I point out a Sierra in the parking lot and show how it is 2/3 the size.
I get a lot of positive feed back on it looking like the Sierra as it makes it look full size and the Sierra is very popular here.
Texas trucks are generally the largest available. Ironically, the mid size Colorado probably stands out in that state.
Seeing some Colorados around the Denver area, diesels are rare. Canyons are rare, it seems like I have the only diesel Canyon in the state! Have had a few people ask me about my Canyon in parking lots. Naturally I extol it's virtues until their attention span runs out
Yesterday, I pulled up to a red light. There was a silver Colorado Z71 Crew Cab on my right and a white Colorado extended cab in the turn lane on my left. Made me crack up that three of us were side by side...
A friend of mine who lives in Texas keeps teasing me about me buying a "girls" truck. He always seems to mention that no one buys those in Texas. This despite his Silverado having to sit in the driveway because it doesn't fit in his garage. Then he goes on to complain how his truck gets pummeled by hail every year... haha...
Speaking of which mine was pounded by luckily small pea sized hail yesterday storm. Hail storm is almost a frequent natural phenomena around where we live.
I work right across the highway from where they make the Colorado and Canyon and before I owned one, I used to see the trucks driving out with 8 or so on a truck and I'd just wish I had one.
It seemed that you didn't see many locally. I'm starting to see more of them in the past 6 months.
I will say, I get a lot of complements and see people talking about my truck when I'm at a distance.
I was sitting on the balcony of a friend's apartment one day and a guy slowed down and really gave it a good look before driving off. lol.
Definitely happy with my purchase and a year later still very fortunate to be able to own one.
I've only seen one other silver one, but mine is the only silver Z71 I've ever seen.
In southwestern Wisconsin I see hundreds of Equinoxes and Silverados, but the Colorado is a rare truck. I think I have the only 2nd generation extended cab that my dealer has ever sold. He had to go 170 miles to get it. I see a crew once in awhile on their lot, but over a dozen Silverados and two dozen F150's. I can not recall ever seeing a second generation Canyon as GM dealers are scarce.
I can say there is a good amount of Colorados around Miami and Fort Lauderdale. It's a midsized truck that fits much better in the City. I couldn't imagine the feeling of parking a big truck in Miami Beach...... So plenty of Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma around here.....
I see more and more Colorados everyday. Since I bought mine in March of last year 1 of the guys that works for the company we share a dock with bought a Canyon and our safety manager just bought a new Colorado WT, cant wait to give him **** for not getting at least an LT. PG&E and the city of Stockton have added Colorado ext cabs to their fleets, and it seems like I see another new Colorado/Canyon everyday. There are at least 3 other laser blue Colorados in town, black and silver are the most common colors that I see other than the white fleet trucks.
Our City and county bought a bunch of white WT Colorado's for work trucks, since they make them here. Our GMC dealer cannot keep the Canyon's in stock. See quite a few of them(Canyons) driving around here.
The 2ed gen isn't rare down here by me. Some towns and public works have a few they use. But the diesel is. Whenever I go through a border checkpoint or get fuel I usually get asked about the diesel. One time I even had a older guy try to stop me from pumping fuel because he assumed I grabbed the wrong nozzle. He had good intentions and didn't believe me until I popped my hood lol.
Is it cheating to count the half dozen Canyons I saw on the car hauler on way home from work this afternoon? Did see another 3 Colorados further down the road.
Well I had to drive almost three hundred miles one way to find a dmax with the add ons I was looking for. Rode the bike up and put her in the back, never looked back. Still to this day I've never seen another dmax, lots of canyons and Colorado's just gassers though. People want to know what it is because it doesn't look like the others they see. Love my Colly
I live about 45 min outside of Portland Oregon and I am starting to see more around.
In my small town I am the only minimax but there is one lady that has a white ext cab Canyon and there is I think at least two other crew cab Colorado's.
The other day I was driving to work and ahead of me was my same exact truck color and everything but had the rectangular side steps.
I have yet to see any lifted or leveled yet. I may be the 1st when I do it.
We are in a sea of Tacoma's here though so it's easy to spot the twins when I see em
