Arrow Chevrolet Colorado Tail Light LEDs! See Install Video! Big Results! See Output Pics!

Brightness

Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits you best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb compared to factory:

HP11: (310 lumens) Slightly higher brightness than OEM bulbs.

XP80: (510 lumens) Much brighter than OEM bulbs. These are bright! (Shown in video)

Bulb Design:

HP11: Four side-firing 1.5W-rated Osram LED chips, and one 5W-rated LED chip on top, which is projected by a lens for maximum effective brightness. The bulb is housed in a machined aluminum casing, which provides superior heat diffusion for long life.

XP80: Each of the four sides of this bulb contains three 5W-rated chips, and the top is fitted with four more under a projector lens. This is the brightest self-contained automotive LED bulb on the market, and is housed in an aluminum casing with a textured finish for maximum heatsinking properties.

I just wanted to clarify that the hp5 is a lot brighter than the hp3. The above photo shows alittle more intensity, but does not accurately show how bright it is.

Lumen-wise, the HP3 is 56 vs. HP5 is 92 (measured) so they are about twice as bright

Do these need resistors? Or are they plug and play?

Tail lights will not require resistors, however, any location that acts as a turn signal will require resistors to prevent hyperflash.

Thanks!

So from the site I don't know what comes with it.. When you buy the bulbs, is says it comes in pairs, do i have to buy 2 sets for the lights (colorado has 4 bulbs), or can i just buy 1 set for all 4 bulb locations? same applies to the resistor do i need to buy that twice for the 4 lights?

You will need a set of resistors for each set of bulbs that acts a turn signal. If all 4 act as a turn signal, you'll need two sets of resistors.

Thanks!

well thats not what I was asking.... From your site, I cant determine how many bulbs I will need to buy to make a set of 4. The site states that they are a pair, does that mean only one for the left lamp one for the right lamp, so I need to buy a set of 2 to make 4 red turn bulbs, or does buying that pair I will get 4 bulbs, two for the left two for the right?

You will need two pairs (QTY 2) for a total of 4 bulbs. You'll want to select the resistor option as well. I apologize, but I can't recall if all 4 locations act as turn signals or just the two.

If they all act as turn signals, you'll need an additional set of resistors here: LED Resistor Kit

it is all 4 lights that act as a turn signal.. so with the resistor kit, it comes with 2 resistors, one for each bulb in that set, then for QTY2 of the bulbs i need to buy 2 resistor kits, yes?
