Who has the 18" Dark Argent $1000 option on their truck? Need clarification please!

Ordered my truck weeks ago and it gets built this week according to Chevy.com chat. I chose the $1000 18" Dark Argent Metallic Cast Alum. Wheel option based on the photo in Chevy.com (see attached). However, I saw a Colorado on a dealer lot with the 18" tires and what was described on the sticker as the 18" Dark Argent Metallic rims but they had a dark color stripe down each "spoke" of the rim. The Colorado book as well as Chevy.com do NOT show that stripe of color on these rims. Instead the rim is all aluminum color. Please see the attached and tell me which "version" came with your truck if you chose the 18" Dark Argent Metallic $1000 option. Thanks!

I've only ever seen them as in your real picture.

Is that the same truck in both photos? The one you can't see the dark stripe down each spoke of the rims, the other you can. Thanks for your help on this question!

Pictures sometimes lie. They are called dark agent, so they do have dark stripes. It depends what angle you take the picture from and if flash is used to see them on photo.

Keep in mind that Chevy will offer those same wheels in polished or chrome soon. That maybe why those pictures look a bit different and you can see they offer both in the build website.

If you don't like the look, I'll swap you Z71 wheels for them.

YES! Same truck, pre/post delivery prep. Of course that did not change the wheel appearance. They change in different lighting conditions and perspective to the extent of looking entirely different from front to back at the sane time. The faces of the spokes are machined, while leaving the cast features elsewhere. Love em.

On a side note, went to a cookout in Ramsey NJ over the weekend, DIC showed 32.5mpg on a 25 mi stretch of 684 with cruise set at 63mph.

Thanks so much for the info and photos! That mileage you are getting is great. I'm not going to know how to handle good gas mileage after selling my full size truck! Thanks again!

P.S. Just did a "chat" with Chevy.com and my truck is being produced this week. Pretty excited, I must say!

Glad to help, sorry it's upside down. Sometimes they are ok, sometimes upside down, egardles of orientation of the camera when taken. 08 Canyon says it's a glitch.

I do, powdered black with Camaro center caps
Scored the wheels for 200 off a nice guy, powdered them for 400, with a full set of duratracs for 800, and put in the Camaro black and silver caps for free
I spent a little more than a G but worth it imho

The part of these wheels that isnt painted is a highly reflective machined surface. Depending on lighting conditions and what type of surface you are parked on, it can be hard to tell this from even 10 feet away. The first truck I saw up close that had these on it already, was parked on a blacktop lot, so the reflection was dark and there was no distinct separation of color to the wheel. Look good in some pics, but that experience really turned me off on them. Especially with the $1000 price tag. There are better looking wheels to be had ( IMO ) around that price or less.
