Ordered on December 3rd
TPW January 9th
Delivered to Dealer February 2nd
I was on vacation so took delivery February 14th

1st impressions are good. Rides very well. Acceleration is good. Comfort of the cab is good. Noise level is good. Technology will take some getting used to. I'm pretty tech savvy but still think that the amount of features I will need to learn will take a while. This is my 1st truck so my impressions are comparing it to previous SUVs.

I'm already getting complements on the color and look of the truck. Snow expected here today and tomorrow so I may get to see how it handles in slippery conditions.

Thanks to all for the advise and posts I read leading up to my decision to purchase.

I'm at the stage in my life where I'm used to the heated steering wheel and heated and cooled seats, so that's why I went with the Denali. If I bought an SLT I would have wanted the Nav, Bose, Spray in bed liner and side steps, so after adding those items to an SLT the price difference shrinks considerably, plus you get the 20 inch wheels and the color matched rear bumper. To me it was worth the extra cost. JMHO.

I climbed around my first Canyon Denali this morning and that thing is a BIG improvement over SLT. The SLT looks to have Vinyl seats really, the Denali has some nice improvements for sure.

Can hardy wait to (eventually) get my own.

Current: 2009 Canyon CC I5. 180K miles. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

Ordered a Denali crew, short, Red Quartz tintcoat,V6 on Valentine's Day 2-14-17 to replace my 2015 SLT. The order was less complicated as everything I put on the 15 was included in the Denali. Here in the Great Northwest the heated wheel will be a boon to my arthritic hands when the temp dips low as the heated seats help my arthritic butt :) and back. Now the wait and quest to follow production, transport and finally me!

Well, after 9 weeks. from order date 1/4/17 and the status is still at 1100, I decided today to cancel my order with the dealer.

I left a msg. with my salesman and his GM, but no returned call today. The salesman replied with a text msg. saying it was too late! I'm not so sure he knows what he is talking about, or what the status code 1100 really means.
I've never been given a reason or explanation as to why the delay. So, I'll see how things play out next week.

I've been watching all you guys taking delivery, and I'm happy for all of you!

My plan B option is to go to one of the largest Chevrolet dealers close by, and order a new Colorado LT loaded up!

Wish me luck.

I was going to buy a ZR2 but the Chevy dealers between the incompetence not knowing how to order and others just wanting MSRP drove me back to my original plan to buy a GMC Canyon.

I had watched this Red Quartz Tint on the lot for the last month to two months. They finally dropped the price on it and I got it for $4K off sticker price.

I picked it up yesterday and love it. My only complaint is the seats need more side bolster like the wife's Terrain but it is not a deal breaker as all of these trucks have the same seat just different material.

I told her yesterday that the Denali was like a ATS Cadillac with a bed.

The Denali models are over prices but if you can get a decent deal they put them right on the SLT price and it is a no brainer. The heated wheel, Vent Seats and 20" wheels are worth that.

I got out of trucks with my last Sonoma as I hated the last gen trucks. But this one drew me back and the Denali is as close to the ZQ8 I had in performance and handling but with a better ride.

This is my 4th GMC. The 5th is coming in a Acadia to replace the Terrain in a couple years.

I am glad to have joined the Denali club.

The dealer did have a brown SLT loaded stickered at $41K marked down to $34K but it is the same color as the Terrain we have and I did not want two the same color and I wanted a red truck.

If you want a Denali have your dealer do a search and dealer trade as they are not great in number but they are sitting on dealer lots. No reason to order. Also generally there is only a couple choices on options so most will be what you want and just search color and bed length.

Do not pay MSRP.

Congrats on the new ride! Post up pics. Agreed on the pricing being close when you get a good dealer that will work with you. If I bought an SLT I would get the bose, nav, spray in liner and side steps anyway. Adding those options reduces the price difference a lot and the difference is worth it for me to get the heated steering wheel, heated and cooled seats and the 20 inch wheels.

Might post pictures once the bed cover is on. Otherwise it looks just like the others Quartz Red on here.

When there are few options there is little variation. LOL!

Now I'm really getting excited. Hoping I can take delivery before Easter as I have the week after off. Plan on using the time off to get the windows tinted and install my ham radio.
