Off Road Review by Expedition Portal

I really enjoyed this review. They spent a lot of time with the truck, and did more than drive down gravel roads, or spend a few hours in an ORV park. They took lots of great pictures too.

I agree. It was a thorough review with good points (both positive and negative). It's great too see someone spend more then few hours in it before they formed their opinion.

Saw it too, good read, about time a reviewer took off the airdam and didn't just spend the whole article or video complaining how bad the clearance is.

This^^^! YES!

The twins have gotten so much negative press because of a removable piece of plastic.

While the air dam is not likely affecting purchasing decisions too heavily, it is certainly hurting the media's response to the truck.

Exactly, I watch the TFLTruck guys and they CONSTANTLY rip apart the Colorado/Canyon when they hit the trails with it just because of the airdam, they cant get off the Tacoma's nuts.

With the airdam removed these trucks do fine. With a airdam removal, some more aggressive tread and a small level shock replacement these trucks can go most anywhere. It's not like the 4x4 system sucks.

Dang this was a nice review! Pretty fair all around and didn't completely give it crap just because of an easily removable piece of plastic. Trail got pretty rough at a few parts and even stock the truck did excellent. Have to agree with the reviewer though with the auto lock diff. Even though it works like a charm I wish it was manual.... or have a mix of auto and manual. Lol.

And yet they can some how manage to take off the same part on the new Tacoma without issue

It's not that they remove it.... Tacoma Off Road doesn't have an air dam. The other models do though. I actually like TFL a lot but for whatever reason they've recently really started hammering the Colorado for the air dam to the point they put it on their "not so off road worthy" vehicles.... which is weird considering they did a list a few months back for really good off road packages and the Colorado was on there.
