Yep. Plastic bag for me too....oh well. I rarely open the hard copy, I have a PDF version saved on my home PC and my work PC for quick reference.
And when you are in a desolate region of Illinois with no internet service, and you need to know where the stupid designers hid the tire changing tool, which fuse does what operation so you can steal on to use on a different location to get you to civilization, etc., what are you going to do?
I would at least download it to your phone for backup.
I would say that the main things I use a printed owner's manual to help me is when I need to know about fuses and replacing burned out lights.
I purchased a shave kit that was on closeout at a local retailer for my glove box. Got some stinky soaps and junk, and a nice camouflage bag that was perfect for my manual for less than $7. I went back to get a second one to replace the stolen bag from my Wrangler, but they were sold out. Everytime I am in that store, I look again, hoping they will have some more.
