After i got everything set up and ready to go, pretty easy. Just stupid stuff like thinking I had the right socket when I didn't. Its a 13mm btw. It comes with instructions too. Theres 6 plugs (3 under the rocker panels horizontal to the ground, and 3 on the inside of the rocker panel seam, vertical to the ground). The plugs aren't in line with each other so don't worry about that because the holes are meant to be slightly off. You'll see what Im talking about when you hold the bracket holes up to screw in the bolts. I did it by myself so I was trying to balance a decent weighted rail on my leg/knee while I bolted up a few threads in each hole. Theres 3 mounting brackets on each side. The two brackets closest to each other go towards the front of the truck, thats how you know which one is driver and passenger side. Again, you'll see what Im talking about. It took me about an hour by myself. Id imagine if you had someone holding it for you, no more than 30 minutes. the 6 bolts on each side are pretty sturdy, at least it passed me jumping up and down and then yanking on it up and down to see if the rocker panel was affected much. Holds up pretty good lol. I can take more pictures of the mounts and plugs so you know which ones if needed. I also taped off and sprayed 3 coats of bedliner on the pinch weld. Blends in nicely.

Your truck is looking very appealing. After i install the star armors tomorrow I will be looking at purchasing the same wheels you have.

I have a very basic tool set for homeowners and hoping I have the correct tools to install the nerf bars. If not I will be taking a ride to harbor freight.

Every man needs a decent set of tools and something to store them in. Kobalt, Craftsman, Snap-on, Cornwell, Husky, mixes of these and way more good brands, doesn't matter...you just owe it to yourself to have something you can depend on in most situations. That, and a cordless impact, God's gift to us all.

Thanks! All youll need is a 13mm ratchet and maybe a small screwdriver or something flat to pop the plugs out of their holes. My wheels only come in black, and machined for our bolt pattern. I had mine custom painted matte gray and then swapped the stock black bolts on the outside "beadlock" with stainless steel ones using some red locktite on the threads.

Arriving today! We'll have to see how they fared on their ~2 week journey across the entire US.

Arrived and installed. Installation was simple even by myself with the help of jack stands. It took about 1 hour. I helped the ups driver unload the box from the truck so he doesn't break his back. The box was pretty abused with a few holes. I probably could had refused the delivery but I wanted these installed today. As you can see from the photo that the driver side bar was scratched. I can fix this with some touch up paint.

You may want to contact the seller and show them the shipping damage. Even though you installed them, they may send you a replacement...

In other news, I found a spot of rust on my Tygers.

I only saw this on the Driver's side, but haven't really looked at the passenger side yet. I contacted Tyger (since they have a 5 year warranty on these) to see what they want to do.

I got mine installed, shipping-wise, the box was a bit beat up but no holes, and no damage to the units, which were packed fairly well in foam and bubble wrapping. If I had to suggest, I'd recommend they double-pack the box with two layers of cardboard, , but I suppose even then they could get banged up. No issues though, just lifted them under my own body and shoved them into position, took just a few minutes per side. They are really nice (at least initially!) for the price. The 5 year warranty might get a workout though, we'll have to see!

I've changed the way that I get in the truck now with them installed, but my wife loves them. I'm interested to see how it is different once I get my Bilstein 5100s installed.

I'm going to hate them if they get dirty, I can tell. The back of my pants will certainly get the hit. But the protection from other doors is a huge plus, as well as the convenience of reaching the roof for cleaning. They also look tough as shit!
