I'm sure they are a quality product and look nice but I sure do hate it (with the occasional rare exception) when the product branding (name) is built into the product, in this case right on top of the step. I do understand why they do it, but I would much rather things like this have a decal or such that could be removed. And when they draw that attention and someone ask "what kind are those" I would be more than happy to tell them. Just a cosmetic thing for me....I suppose the argument could be made that it can't be seen as you're flying down the road. Okay. I'm going to go put myself in the corner now.

I think I'll be safe in holding off on my purchase plans until the market adjusts itself. May just end up putting them on my wishlist.
I'll be fine without them, thus far nobodies complaining about climbing in. lol

I received an e-mail today that my brackets (DZ16319) ordered from DeeZee have been shipped and will arrive on Monday 3/13. They are for the 6" black oval bars (DZ16111). I have 15 Canyon Ext Cab.

I just installed the Iron Cross plus steps and I'm really happy with them.
Welcome to Iron Cross Automotive. We produce American Made Step Products and Bumpers. American Made = American Jobs!
I was able to find them on amazon for quite a bit less than the factory.

The tube and steps are separate pieces, so the step location is adjustable or removable altogether. I chose those because my wife and I don't need the steps but our young daughters struggle getting in and out of the truck. These allow me to have steps in the back but not in the front. I really like the look of the tubes and they are tight enough to the rockers that I don't drag my pants.

As suspected, the brackets were not in the box. They said they were being boxed as we were talking so I should have them in a few days.

Also, as others have said, one of the endcaps arrived broken and then are sending me a new set. Amazed that they have not corrected this packaging problem yet.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but they look very similar to N-Fab's wheel to wheel side steps. Do you know if there is any significant difference?

How many mounting locations do they have? Some pics suggest they're only secured on the ends.

We'll be avoiding the "Nerf Bar" (round tube design) and installing the running boards instead.. but we haven't decided if we're going to do the Westin (which they haven't listed the extended cab yet).. or the factory steps.. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Iron Cross pics

I shouldn't have mentioned it without the pics...
Here are a couple of the tubes only, and with one step installed in the back. The brackets, tubes and steps are all sold separately so only need to buy what you want. The tubes come in a couple different lengths, these are the 80 inch version.

I can't figure out how to fix the orientation of the picture

I think I am going to go with the DEE ZEE running boards. They are available for the extended cab. The best price I found was with Amazon. Dee Zee DZ16311 NXt Running Boards

Chas,

Look nice, do you find your pants legs drag on the steps when you get out?

They look like they should help, but of course, not eliminate, some of the road splash on the side of the truck.

Those look better than the GM 5".

I have been trying to use the bar when getting out of truck rather than stepping to the ground. It is going to take a while to get use to doing it that way. Also I hope it keeps people from opening their car doors and hitting my doors.
