I don't even have a Twin yet but I really dislike the look and function of all of the steps that are offered for the Twins currently and I'd want something on the truck as soon as I buy one next year. Especially with a lift you really need something to comfortably enter the truck to not place undo stress on the doors and the seat edges.
So anyways I emailed AMP Research about availability of their full length power steps for the Twins and this was their response:
"Hello,
Yes the step is currently indevelopment and should be released around December-or January.
Has anybody reached out to AMP regarding a group purchase?
If we're serious We should coordinate ourselves now and be ready to make the offer.
Is there a way we can get a count via the web? Like a site we can all access and provide our info? I remember a google spreadsheet we all used while monitoring our truck builds but I have no idea how to do it.
I'm not too sharp when it comes to the computer stuff…
Guys
I'll reach out to AMP and see if they'd entertain a GB and how it would work ie minimum order, shipping etc
I'll get back via post with the specifics.
Shoot me a pm if you're seriously interested so I have a estimated count. I know we don't have prices yet but I assume it will be something less than retail.
Got em installed on my truck, crewcab. I was their guinea pig.
Need to update my sig pic.
They said that they will be making them for the extra cab also.
No info on release date.
I will post pics as soon as the company's boss gives me the thumbs up. They don't want me to post em until the release date is set.
Yes, the plug n play is available.
Nice to see that my truck is in their ad. That's pretty much the cost of them.
Also just heard a few minutes ago from my buddy that they are now released and ready to purchase.
Had not seen the updates on this thread... I just emailed them...
The part number has been released for the new Colorado/Canyon kit. The part number is 76153-01A. This will be coming available to our dealers within the next two weeks.
If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.
Guys, bad news, the ebay dealer jumped the gun. He thinks they are two weeks out from hitting his shelves and AMP confirmed they don't drop ship. When I called AMP, they said that things are shipping to dealers next week. I'll just order from my lift guy locally since he is an AMP dealer.
-Mike
PS...the eBay dealer just canceled my order and sent a refund, no issues with that.
VERY VERY nice. Will be my first add on to my 2017 Canyon.
