I haven't seen anyone post these yet, and I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. It looks like RC has fender flares for the Colorado now (they say it doesn't work with the Canyon). The good thing about this particular set of flares is that it stops at the front bumper. For people getting aftermarket bumpers and wanted flares here is your chance. The price is very reasonable too.
Not a bad looking set. I think they've got a better price over the Bushwacker offering, but it doesn't look totally right to me since they're not finishing the flare in the front all way down the side of the wheel well like Bushwacker is.
I think they did it that way on purpose. The Bushwackers look great but are expensive, and if you get an aftermarket bumper you can't use the Bushwackers since they go all the way down the bumper. If you want an aftermarket bumper there is the option. When the Bushwackers were released several people mentioned that.
OEM colorado flares work fine on canyons, that's why I can't figure out why these wouldn't work. The edge of the fender (i.e., shape) is the same. Wonder if the mid part of the fender is different and because RC flares are bigger than OEM there are gaps?
I always make a habit of taking flares off a couple of times a year and giving the truck a good clean. No matter the brand some dirt/salt, etc will find its way in there.
I know the factory one work. I have them on mine. I am more worried about the extra bend that the Canyons have. Here are a couple of photos, sorry they are not the best.
That is kind of my question on the Laser Blue, I'm thinking I will just buy them and put them on black. If they don't look as good as I want then I will have them painted to match.
lusid, I think unpainted fender flares would look great on the Red Canyon. Plus, if someday you change your mind, you can paint them to match the style of your truck.
I don't but they have a SB & LB version. I think the SB version has a cut out for the fuel cap door where-as the LB does not, but am not 100% certain on that.
So now we have Bushwacker, EGR (the maker of the OEM fender flares), and the OEM ZR2 flares if they fit a Canyon as the other choices.
