Just got my Colorado home Saturday night... put all my goodies I have been collecting while waiting for delivery on yesterday.... so... the stock exhaust is just straight up ugly as I'm going for a Blue w/ black accents thing on mine... the only tip I can find online is a Magnaflow, but all the reviews are owners of 2007 and older diesels... just curious if anyone has come across a quality tip (in black) that is able to survive the regen cycle.
You should be able to slip any 4" Inlet tip over the current tip. The obvious choice would be a 4" inlet 5" out tip at 12" long. Measure back on the stock tip and cut where the new tip can slip on and stick out about the stock distance, or whatever distance you desire. This will retain the factory venturi section and not require an overpriced vented tip.
It's SS isn't it? Why not just Polish it?
I hit mine with extra fine steel wool and some polish for less than 5 mins total work and it looks great. I could go crazy for 30mins and have it as shiny as my rims. Very little effort and a LOT less money.
