Hi all! Brand new to this. Just purchased a 2016 Colorado WT Crew Cab - white.
I am looking into getting the side steps/nerf bars. I am debating going for the factory Colorado side steps or the Westin Pro Traxx 4" Oval Nerf Bars. What do you guys suggest? Do you guys have pics of the Westin ones on your trucks?
If you look in my garage, you'll see a couple of pics of the Westins on my Extended Cab. I'm satisfied with them. Management likes them for entry and access so that is good enough for me.
I really like my Iron Cross set. They have a full stainless version as well. Having the option to move the step forward and back before locking in was a nice feature.
Of course everyone has different taste for what looks right, I can't get on with the bar types but I am considering 'running board' type of step. Management would like to have them and so far the ionic black ones are what I can get along with but still considering options.
If anyone is interested in chrome OEM ones let me know. I have a set of brand new, never installed boards/steps that came with my 16' CC. The box hasn't even been opened.
Im still looking for some bars or boards myself, but ones that will stop dings in crowded parking lots. The boards sit higher and may be better for that. Would also cover up that ugly pinch weld too. But I just havent found the right ones yet.
That pinch weld bothered me from day one!...especially on a light colored truck. I taped off the bottom of the rocker and sprayed the pinch weld with rubberized undercoating to hide it.[emoji106]
I have a 2016 Crew Cab and a short wife. I bought these from Rough Country. I love that they cover the bottom of the body. Installation was easy, I had them on in about 45 minutes.
I bought DeeZee 4" step bars. I had to replace the captured nuts as they were made of soft pot metal and broke. Keep an eye on your bolts everyone, if they are falling out then the same thing is happening to your bars. Luckily I caught mine before they fell off.

Poor design, they do not have a drain, moisture builds up they start rusting. Return my set twice, eventually received refund.
I run the ICI Magnum R/T steps i got them on cyber monday this year for right at $272 shipped to my door . i couldn't pass it up.
