Tinting windows

Has anyone tinted their passenger and drivers side door windows? If you have a crew cab, did you go with the same tint level as the rear door windows? Im going to get mine tinted, just not sure how dark...

I did both mine and the wife's truck with 25% ceramic tint front doors, and a 7" 5% limo windshield brow.

I have the CC and I got the fronts tinted to match the rear windows. I think it looks great, especially on a black truck.

That is exactly how my truck will look...down to the running boards and all. Thanks for sharing the pic!

I did not match the rear tint. I went with 35% on all windows (minus windshield). Believe the guy I went to said that going over the factory tint brought it to ~20% in the rear (don't quote me on that). Transitions well; no huge jump.

How do you find the 25% is for you at night?

Be careful not to get it to dark. I tried to match the rear and had a problem seeing at night out the side windows..

Honestly, I have to put the windows down.
But I would also have to do so with 50%, my eyes are that bad at night.

My Canyon was a dealer trade and the original dealer installed front driver and passenger windows. Since my dealer didn't install the tint, I was not charged. They are 3M film. Fronts are not quite as dark as rear but compliment very well. I have no issue seeing out of them at night.

35% Ceramic on front driver and passenger, legal amount in NC. I did nothing to the windshield. No problem with visibility at night. Not as dark as factory rears, but works for me and will help keep some heat out. Not the best cell phone picture, but you can tell that the fronts are lighter.

Planning on doing 35% on the front windows of my Canyon. We did the darker 25% tint on the rear and 35% on the front windows of my wife's car, it looks fine and makes it easier to see out at night. The car had no tint at all, it stays much cooler in the hot sun.

Good quality ceramic tint lasts. My wife's car is 10 years old now and the windows all still look like the day the tint was installed. That is pretty awesome, because the UV here in thin air land Colorado is intense.

25% matched to the rear

Tinted them Carbon 25% to match the rear and also did the windshield sun strip 25%

Keep in mind legal in WI is 50% for the front, lower the number darker the tint.

Check with your state laws - if you have any laws that limit the window tint. Pennsylvania limits how dark you can go AND we get vehicle inspections every year. I honestly can't remember what tint % mine is.....but its just slightly lighter than the rear and within legal limits for my state so I won't fail inspections.

I ended up getting a 50% tint on the front. That is what our state law is. I am pleased...it is light enough to see through at night yet has some darkness during the day.
