Burning Hot Metallic Discussion

I'm 99 percent sure this is the color for me.

After doing some googling, I found out from some touchup paint websites that the paint code for it is WA425B/GGQ.

It is called "Burning Hot Pearl" on the GMC Sierra I'm guessing late delivery like the Colorado.

It is called "Orange Burst Metallic" on the Bolt, Cruze Hatch, Silverado, Sonic, and Trax.

I'm finding and posting all the relevant pics I can find. I'm going to the chevy dealer tomorrow to see if I can find something with it in person. I'll post pics of that too.

GM code WA425B

And just to head off the haterz, yes, it is Gerber baby food squash. I don't care, I love it.

Previously known as Sunburst Orange Metallic, also.
I was hoping it was a mid cycle color change like Laser Blue, but alas, it was not to be. It is more copper colored than orange.

Thank you. That was what I was hoping. I've loved copper/bronze GM colors since the days of the 67-72 C-10. I've already noticed by dragging my pics from one monitor to another, that one shows bronze, and one shows orange. Very tricky color to catch in a computerized pic. Can't wait to look at it tomorrow.

Sorry, I don't know, maybe someone else does. I was under the impression blue wasn't available on 17's until now. I think I heard someone say it was a little different than earlier years and was a little less purple.

It's not any different. Photo's were popping up with it looking like it was a little lighter, more aqua-y blue.
Laser blue wasn't available to order on '17's until February, when they took away Brownstone, like they did with Inferno Orange about the same time last year, for a mid-cycle change.

Well here's the only orange burst they had on the lot. Whether it's different from the Inferno orange I can't tell you. I took a pic of the laser blue for you haulingnothing.

My moto z plus was designed around great battery life, not a great camera, so I can't tell you how accurate these are. I did love the look of the orange burst in person.

Thanks for the pics. The orange looks great. Is it just a guess at this point that either or both of the twins will come in that colour or did I miss something?

It's always shown as a late arrival in the brochure for 2017. Link below.

http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam...do-catalog.pdf

Since the 2017 was itself a late arrival, I guess you could say it's double late. But a guy who works in the plant posts in a facebook 2nd gen group, and he put up a pic of something like a fender in the orange the other day, so I'm hoping they become available to order soon.

Your camera did a good job rendering the color properly.

Here's Inferno Orange, which is a more like a metallic Red Hot, with yellow added:

Ok thanks, I see they list it for the Colorado but not the Canyon. GMC must think all their customers are old men who are afraid to try a bold colour that might make their pacemakers overheat. C,mon GMC ! Howabout some excitement? The truck is fine, just give me some kind of orange colour so I can trade in.

I just ordered my 2017 Colorado in Burning Hot Metallic. Sight unseen but I do like to stand out from everyone else so the Inferno Orange Metallic will be going back to GM once it arrives. Here's a picture of the Inferno Orange when it arrived.

I can't give that up. I drive enough that it makes a big difference in the pocketbook, plus if I need to tow something it is nice to have the best option for that as well. I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
