I ordered mine with the options I knew I wanted after seeing different trucks at the dealerships. I knew I liked the Red Hot color because I liked my last Colorado's color so much. Victory Red.

I got what I wanted. My dealer located my white cc lb 250 miles away. I'm sure I would have been happy with another color but would have been on the back of my mind if I did not get the white.

In the end, it's your money, why not buy what you want unless you are in a desperate time and need something fast? Ordering only takes 2 to 3 months for something that is being built at the time.

If I could have gotten a RED or WHITE Canyon AT w/ cocoa/dune interior, I would have. But since the AT only came with black interior, I went with the white SLT w/ cocoa/dune. I was going back and forth between the brown/red/white, all with cocoa/dune. First white vehicle. My last truck was red and I kinda miss it, but I like the white too.

Interesting thread.

I wanted Brownstone LT. That's what I determined I could afford. Drove to a particular dealership who told me they could get it for me, same day. They didn't, and tried to hard sell me on a Black, and offered every discount they could. Problem is after owning a black 04 Suburban, I promised myself I would never buy black again. I ended up walking out of the dealership.

As I was walking out, I saw my shinny Hot Red Z71 CC Long Bed sitting in front of the dealership, like a vision. I walked right back to the sales person, and said "Let's talk about the Z71".

More than 2 years later. I still love my truck like I did the first time I saw her on the lot.

Funny thing is, Brownstone isn't my favorite color for this truck anymore. I really like white, Red Rock, and the new Graphite Gray.

I went to the dealership dead set on the artic white, until I saw a cyber gray which is a beautiful color if I say so myself. I have a artic white CC Canyon SB. If you wanna trade. I keep my baby in pristine condition.

I drove about 60 miles to get my laser blue colorado. It was the only 1 within 250 miles and also from the dealership with best pricing within that same 250 miles. My wife agreed I could get one on Saturday, I found it on Sunday and bought it on Monday. I dont think she thought I would find 1 so fast when she agreed we needed it, lol.

I bought just what I wanted. Sort of...

Being a fairly loyal Toyota fan and waited patiently for the current design to hit production (in desert tan). I drove the truck and liked it but wanted to check out the twins as well as they had been getting good reviews. Driving both in V6 left me with a strong preference for the twins. The diesel became available and that pretty well drove a nail through the Tacoma.
I prefer the softer exterior lines on the Chevy, YMMV. I softened them a bit more by removing the emblems.

Anyway, Brownstone Metallic was my primary pick for a Diesel Z71 Colorado. I found one for an ok price configured exactly like I wished.

I almost settled! Ordered my ZR2 in Deepwood Green Metallic because Red Hot was not available on the ZR2. But two days after I ordered it suddenly changed and Red Hot became available. So my order got changed and I got exactly what I wanted.

Of course, I don't actually have a truck yet.

When I first started looking, I decided I wanted either white or silver. I actually really like the white (stormtrooper look). My last vehicle was a white VW TDI Wagen and would like it on a truck. The VW did get dirty fast though. When I was looking, most of the good deals I saw were on the white, which was fine with me. I found a really great deal on the silver and am very happy with it. It looks great, and I think the silver ice metallic hides the dirt pretty well. I think it'll look even better once I get the black fender flares and tonneau cover, and maybe plastidip the bow ties and trim on the sides.

I settled. I really wanted a cardinal red or cyber gray. Ended up with silver and it's really growing on me a lot. Now I just need some step bars!
