I want to do the same thing. I hear the front is easy to remove since its just screws, but was the emblem on the tail gate a PITA to remove?

looks great! I did this to mine a while back and I was amazed at how much better it looks. One of the best mods out there I think. And cheap too! Sheeet that gold looks tacky! right?!

I first vinyl wrapped and then swapped. Reason was first wash the vinyl started to peel. Yes the tailgate emblem is a pain in the ass. Good luck.

Hey, I bought a can of Plasti-dip for 5 bucks, tapped around the entire emblem and then sprayed on. Took about an hour for each emblem (including dry time) and that's it. If it peels off, im not to fussed, I can just redo it in the nice weather!

Did mine in November of 2015, and still looks the same as the day I did it.

Not bad. LOL! I was going to go the route of swapping out the emblems.

The bumper is held in by a bunch of screws, yes. The emblem is held in by tabs. If you have small hands you may get away with taking off just the radiator cover screws and reaching in with a small flat head or something and pushing the tabs out. Removing the rear emblem requires a heat gun, maybe a blow dryer will take longer. If plasti-dipping, just tap off the silver boarder and mask off the paint on your truck or it'll look like small black dots everywhere on your truck bed if you have a thick spray and wind carries around the particles.

I did mine yesterday, since the weather was nice and I had the time. I left the chrome border for now. If I decide to black that out later, it's easy to change. But it's not so easy to put the chrome back. I use Duplicolor semi-gloss engine enamel. Time will tell how durable it is.
