So in my stumbling around on the Internet I found a company (clearview) that manufactures tow mirrors with led indicators for the HOLDEN Colorado.
I *think* these would fit since the US colorado is based off the aussie one. From what I can tell the cab is the most similar parts, and looking at the pictures the mirrors look to be very very much the same mounting area.
Of course, there's a risk they don't fit, and they're not cheap...800 aud which is about 600usd, plus shipping across the world.
But I figured I would share and start a discussion. I'm going to contact them and see about shipping.
What got me thinking was I think the stock mirrors are a bit ditzy and small looking, considering the size and ppresence this truck has.
and that had me thinking tow mirrors would look good but i know ones from a full size truck wouldn't fit up. And then somehow I found these.
You would think that with the tow ratings on these trucks that GM would have offered towing mirrors as an option. They have to know that people want to tow big trailers, boats and car haulers with them and need them. Come on GM. pick up the pace a little.
Yup the 7k# rating on my truck ain't anything to scoff at. That's as nearly much as the 1/2 ton Silverado from 10 years ago, and more than the a 90s k1500 is rated for
No, not that hard. But also not plug and play. Easier to just set them up as steady marker lights, a bit tougher to make them turn signals since you'd have to find the turn signal wires
Thanks for your email. yes our mirrors do fit the US version of the Colorado, we just need to build them as a LHD version. Thats not a problem either as we always keep LDH arms in stock, so if you want a set we can dispatch them the same day for you.
They emailed me back a quote on price and it is right at $700 USD shipped to me here in Texas. I like them, but I need to save up some more cash. I think the price is far. I paid about the same price for my GM OEM mirrors on my Silverado.
Hi Guys, it's Mike here from Clearview in Australia, you know, you don't have to have the option of the turn signals if you don't need it. We can send the same thing without a turn signal in it and it's cheaper. I was in the USA about 2 months ago, and I had a good look at the Colorado, and I'm absolutely positive our mirror base will bolt straight up to your doors over there. I would be very surprised if the electrics don't work, and I give you my guarantee that if they don't work, I'll work with you to get it right. I'll make up new adaptors for you that will work and send them to you free of charge, so I'm pretty sure they will work.
We have shipped quite a lot of our mirrors over there and around the world to different countries and we haven't had any problems yet.
What Sophia, neglected to to tell you is I'm happy to give you guys a wholesale price, and that's $545aud, now you just got freight. We would like to get some volume happening over there, so if you guys know anyone who's looking for an opportunity over there, then please get them to get intouch with me. We also make them for the Mazda BT50, and the Ford Ranger, I'm pretty sure they sold over there too.
Hope this helps you guys.

Thanks for the followup Mike! That is outstanding!
I will certainly give some thought to finding a shop here that would be a good fit for carrying your products!
Regarding the ford ranger, we did not get the "global" ford ranger, and the ranger here was discontinued in 2011. Though it looks like there are a few other models on your site that would be applicable here in the us.
I was wondering about the side rub strips. I like the look of them as a accent to the plain sides. The Body rub strips on the Holden/Global Truck might look good to add some protection to the sides and add a little contrast. Anybody figure out about the side Rub Strips on the Holden ?
I know this is off topic. But was looking at the Holden Website in Australia. Here is a Holden Z71 But no tow mirrors. Factory Blacked out Rims too. Like the look of the black running boards and the black on the hood. Like to do the same on mine, since the silver reflects back onto the windshield.
Yes we have heaters available, does your Colorado have heaters in it, if not you might need to hard wire them into your demister some how. I did notice that in there are no fender turn signals on your Colorados over there. Over here in Oz if you want the turn signal in the mirror and if there's no turn signal in your stock mirror, we run two wires down into the fender turn signal and just connect into those two wires. But I see you guys have no turn signals in your fenders, so you might need to run wires all the way to pick up the wiring in the front of your car. Most new models here in Oz are coming out standard now with turn signals, not sure about your wiring loom, a lot of vehicles here actually have the wiring in the loom right up to the mirror.
But of course the easy way is to just fit non turn signal mirrors, unless you want to get creative.
Unfortunately my z71 does not come from the factory with heated mirrors. GM in their infinite wisdom decided that only LTs with the convenience need them. But if they are anything like the silverados hopefully the truck are prewured from the factory to accept heated mirrors.
I told Mike I would take off my door panel to get a look at the wiring in our trucks, then I will be placing an order.
Was going to take the door panel oFF last week but didn't get around to it. Maybe tomorrow
btsbarton, when you take a look at the wiring could you check if its wired for heated mirrors? I have the Z71 and for the life of me I still cant figure out why GM decided this trim do not need heated mirrors.
Keep us informed if they fit. I have contacted my dealership, GM customer service and my next step is to contact Otie Mc Kinley head of trucks and Colorado @ otie.mckinley@gm.com I LOVE my truck!! bought it to tow my new travel trailer. Can tow 7000 Lbs. is great but I need to see what I am towing!!
I am walking the fence on ordering these. Buying a new travel trailer and the clip-on mirrors just don't sit well with me. This may be the ticket. Why can't GMC offer something like this in the states.
Was crawling the net today seeing if there were any other tow mirrors for the Colorado. There are a bunch for the 2015 Silverado. Anyone have a 2015 Silverado in their driveway to see if these mirrors are interchangeable on the twins???
Hi Guys
Mike here again from Australia, hate to bore you guys, but my company is the only company in the world making towing mirrors for your Colorados. In Australia we could not get any decent towing mirrors for anything here, and I own a Ford super duty 350 and I had to buy mirrors from California to get them for my truck. I bought them and then I started to two with my Toyota Landcrusier and realised I had the same problem with mirrors, so I bought a set of Silverado mirrors and adapted them to fit my Crusier. Then when ever I went any where I got bomb with guys wanting me to set their two rig for them. So I decided I would go into production, and now we have have mirrors to fit 38 different models of vehicles. We use the same mirror hard and just make new aluminium dye cast bases to suite the new models and change the electrics so they work. Our Colorado mirrors will fit your vehicle, no question, you just need to take the plunge......Cheers Mike.....Towing Side Mirrors: clearview, caravans, extention, electric
So, I checked Clearview web site and they make no mention of mirror for the Colorado. If one is available is it chrome and does it extend like the Silverado and what is the pricing?
