Cut one rear piece out of the other roll and you will have about 47" left for the tailgate. It is a bummer that the factory does not coat the bottom of the tailgate.

After cutting the pieces to length, I rounded the corners. I set them out in the sun to get soft. I peeled all of the backing off to apply. I missed a couple times but it peeled up and stuck again without any problems.
I bought the same tape but have an extended cab so my application area is shaped a little different. Did you remove the weather stripping above and below your tape? Or just pull the stripping out and place the tape behind/under it? I was think of completely removing all of the stripping, applying the tape, and then reattaching the stripping. Sounds like a lot of work but I want to make sure the tape covers the 90 degree corner of the door sill and all of the exposed painted surface.

I left the weather stripping where it was and just stuck the tape under it. It took a couple tries but the tape was easy to remove and reapply.

Install was easy. Just have to hold one end while pushing out the water soap solution.
