Seat belt Chime

Does anyone know how to kill the seat belt ding warning? Most of my other vehicles you could do a odd pattern of clicks and turning ignition key on and off it will stop dinging.

You are just a Rebel who refuses to play nice. (LSU grad here.)

I remember when the chime was this plug in module that you could remove to shut it up.

I wish someone would figure it out... my dog sets the passenger alarm off every time I take her with me... and it's a pain to have to plug in her seat belt and then undo it when we get back home.

I hate it while in the woods, log roads tracking or glassing, stupid thing chiming while I am sitting still or creeping 2 mph. Give me a way to stop it under certain speeds. Yeah mine is chiming away with gear in passenger seat. First time it did it, I was like WHAT WHAT are you complaining about now. I thought about getting a seat belt extension, don't know if those are universal or what. Big guy here at work uses one in his tundra to extend his belt. Thought hmmm might could use that to shut up the chime. But it would still be something to keep up with while not in use. Another thing i did figure out if you cut truck off and take key out and then put it back in it will not chime when you open the door. Still hate to cut it off and back on just to get out to unlock a gate or something when you are trying to be stealthy. Needs to be a quiet mode or something, yeah yeah i know i'm asking a lot, But it is a truck after all. It's used for this sort of thing. I'm not asking for a city truck like a ridgeline to be a hunting truck. LOL

Buy 3" type "A" (believe 7/8th) seatbelt extenders (2) packs on Amazon for around $15! They stop the chime and make it easier to plug in and quickly unbuckle the belt when have it in! Have em in all our cars and my work vehicle!

Agreed. I'd love to disable it for the same reason.

Someone posted a solution in another thread recently I think in the general section. If you take the seatbelt apart, there is a little plastic slider on a small circuit board. Take the slider off and viola, no more chime!
Edit: found the thread.. it was moved to the electrical section.

2016 Canyon, Duramax, All-Terrain, Cyber Grey, Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4x4, Sprayed on Bedliner, RC off road steps, Autospring 2.5 lift.

Chime kept going off in my truck this morning; checked headlights, turn signal, doors, turns out it was my backpack and books tripping off the passenger seat belt chime. Guess I'll have to buckle 'em in from here on out.

The dealer should be able to shut it off with their programmer. I had my Toyota dealer shut mine off in my 2013 Camry when I bought it new. The light would still flash but no noise.
