How in the hell does she do this?
You gotta REALLY try to lock your keys in a modern vehicle.
You generally have to hit the interior lock button multiple times, with it auto-unlocking in-between each attempt.
Anyway, as Cary said just load the app on her/your phone. Onstar will even walk you through it in case you're smart-phone 'challenged'(ask me how I know).
Worse-case, you can always call Onstar from your phone and they'll unlock the vehicle. They'll do it uber quickly if your 'pet' is locked inside too-they won't make you wait on hold(ask me how I know THIS)

Interesting thing I will have to check out on our trucks: Does remote start actually turn the electric power steering on, or does this system only come to life when the key is turned? Hydraulic systems were by virtue of their power source always "ON" when the engine was running, but no reason to power up the electric power steering until a key is turned.

Probably just trivial to the life of our trucks, but curiosity killed the cat, and as a dog lover, can that be all bad?
I am sitting outside a house waiting on local police to arrive so I can report a break in at a house. Empty house. Looks like they were after copper.

Anyway, appears that on remote start the electric power steering is NOT enabled.
