Now available: Mallett Performance exhaust for the 3.6l Colorado/Canyon

Mallett Performance Cars is excited to announce a new product to help elevate the performance of your 2015+ Colorado/Canyon V6.

In addition to our Supercharger System, Mallett Performance Cars now has two custom exhaust options - a full exhaust system and a cat-back option.

The full exhaust system provides an additional 11hp and 16lbft to the rear wheels, while the cat-back option adds 5hp and 10lbft to the rear wheels.

Both systems add power from idle to redline and have been carefully tuned to free up power without the annoying drone that often comes in V6 exhaust.

Available only from Mallett Performance Cars, these exhaust systems are made from 304 stainless steel and feature the highest quality mufflers and resonators. Both systems are direct drop-in and can be installed at home or at the shop. Even better, both systems will fit with most lowering kits.

Full Exhaust System: $1,650
Cat Back System: $1,100
Mallett Performance Car Installation: $150

Take your stock or modified Colorado/Canyon to the next level with a Mallett Performance Cars exhaust system today. Contact us for more information.

So...for the full exhaust, does it bolt on after the cats? Hard to see from the pic. If cats are delete do you provide for the code workaround?

It bolts on after the cats. Call me 216-905-0029 I can discuss the system better in a phone conversation.

Nice!

A few questions of course.

How much is the cat-back version?

What brand muffler and resonator are you using?

Is the resonator a perforated core glasspack design or is it a raised nipple glasspack design?

Is the muffle chambered or a straight through design like Magnaflow?

Also, Is there room in the mid-pipe to add an additional resonator between the deleted cats and muffler?

Thanks :)

Subb'd for video and price. Also what would the average V-6 truck put to the tires with your S/C kit and the full exhaust? I'm more interested in low rpm power for daily driving and pulling, i'm not concerned about peak HP.

Does the Colorado have secondary, Unmonitored cats? Like the Corvette? And does this system delete them? Because that would NOT require a tune. Cant wait to see/hear video. How does this system compare to the factory GM performance Exhaust option?

Thanks,

Tim

Question, if the "full" version bolts on "after the cats", how is it different from a "cat-back" version?

Hi this is Ben at Mallett Performance Cars.
First let me clarify...what we are calling "catback" is $1100 and bolts on like the GMPP exhaust, at the flex fitting (two bolts). The "full exhaust" sells for $1650 it includes a collector/Y pipe and bolts to the triangular(three bolts each side) flanges up front. The full system is pictured so you can see both sections.
Both are nice systems and give hp and tq improvements at all rpms while avoiding the drone.

Mallett brand

Will get back to you on glasspack question

It is chambered.

Yes there is room.

Will the Supercharger need to be retuned with the full exhaust ?

The full Exhaust eliminates the Cat ?

Hi this is Ben at Mallett Performance Cars.

Let me clarify... the "cat-back" system is $1100 and bolts to the factory flex fitting (two bolts), like the GMPP exhaust. The "full" system is $1650 and bolts to the two triangular flanges (three bolts each side). It includes the collector/y-pipe. The full exhaust is pictured above so you can see everything.

We're working on video. It's impossible to really capture the sound but it's nice. NO DRONE. That's the tricky part.

No codes to worry about. Both kits are direct bolt-on to factory flanges and the hangers slide right into the factory rubber mounts. No cutting, no tweaking. Do it in your garage. The hardest part is getting the factory exhaust off.

It's a chambered muffler and perforated resonator if I recall correctly... I need to check on the resonator. There is barely enough room for another resonator behind the collector but you really don't need it.

By the way, for the guys with lowering kits, this clears. No more chopping the tail off and listening to the drone from that. We also offer the tail piece (resonator, bend, and tip) to put on your chopped factory exhaust for $300. That's what we've been doing on our lowered trucks that don't have full exhaust.

Oh and long wheelbase (crew cab long bed) trucks are covered too. We have a little extension.

The dyno chart shows the power gains throughout the rpm range on a stock '17. The exhaust would add a little more on a blown truck.

How many chambers and what design is it?

It IS a really nice system, but that pricing is up there. Quality I am sure, no doubt. I just don't think many will be jumping to buy at nearly 1700 bucks. But, I could be wrong :)

Hi Tim. Yes it does. You are correct it does not need a tune, and it makes double the HP of GM factory performance exhaust option.

Ok.. follow up question. Does your front half of your system fit in place of the factory front part of the system? I'm asking because I ordered my zr2 with the factory cat optional cat back, and maybe could do a hybrid of yours and the GM. We will have to try and see.
