The valving and spring rates on the Kings are suitable for the extra weight of the diesel?

 4130 chromoly tubular upper control arms are 100% bolt on and hand crafted in the U.S.A.
 UCA’s are designed with added caster to aid in retaining factory alignment specs when aftermarket lift kits are installed. This reduces the darting or wandering in the vehicle’s steering when 2.5″-3″ lift kits are installed.
 CNC machined tapered spindle adapters convert the factory ball joint to a 1″ uniball for added component strength & maximum wheel travel.
 TOTAL CHAOS includes 1″ I.D. uniballs that feature a heat treated stainless steel ball & heat treated stainless steel race for maximum corrosion resistance and component longevity. These uniball’s also features a military grade PTFE woven fabric liner that helps prevent noise.
 Custom profile upper and lower hi-misalignment spacers maximize droop wheel travel and are machined from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel.
 Upper control arms combined with extended length coil over shocks will allow for up to 1.5″ of additional wheel travel.
 Urethane bushings reduce bushing deflection compared to stock rubber bushings.
 Control arm pivots include zerk fittings to grease the urethane bushings & inner sleeves without disassembly.
 2 stage powder coat process includes a durable clear coat to provide a long lasting finish.
 Complete grade 8 hardware kit is included.

Dan, I'll have a 2017 Canyon here as soon as I can and plan to install a lift and 31-32" tires practically the next day.

I want a highly functional lift because I travel some rough (~ 2' ruts and bumps for 100s of yards) job sites many times per day, often combined with massive amounts of mud.

Which lift set up can I purchase that has awesome functionality (i.e. improved travel range) but that also gives me the look I want with a 4.5"-5.5" suspension lift?

Please advise.

Current: 2009 Canyon CC I5. 170K miles. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

@Suns_PSD For 4-6" Lift you have to go to a Drop-Bracket Style of lift. They generally re-use the stock front Shock and Coil assembly, and then use a longer somewhat better rear shock. The nice thing about the Drop-Bracket lifts is that they do keep the suspension angles pretty close to stock which is good for ride and suspension performance. The down-side is that they raise the vehicle center of gravity and usually run blocks to lift the rear. Both of which are considered less than ideal for real serious off road use (probably not a concern for your use so much).

We do sell the Rough Country Lifts, as well as lots of shock and coilover options from Icon, King, and Fox.

Dan

How much lift can you get with the UCA's that improve travel?

I wonder if that combined with a small body lift (which I've always been against) would give me the net result I am looking for?

Thanks!

What is the better shock, the Fox 2.5s or the King's? And why?

And what about the money for each?
