Looks great!

Always wondered what mine would look like lowered on those wheels. Love it.

What kit did you use?

Thanks. Its a Belltech kit. Its adjustable 0-3" up front via struts with optional shims for different heights and an automatic 4" drop via a flip kit in the rear. Mine is at the full 3" up front. As far as I know, they are the only one selling a kit for our trucks right now.

I'm anxiously waiting on someone to make some drop spindles.

Did you notice any change in the front suspension from using the drop struts? How'd the alignment process go? That's the only thing holding me up from pulling the trigger on buying the Belltech.

The only difference I notice is more firmness. Not in a bad way like its gonna knock your teeth out, more of a good way in terms of responsiveness. Overall, I think it gives a better ride getting rid of some of the bounciness vs. stock. Alignment sucked because NONE of the major chains around me have the specs for these trucks yet. So I was forced to go to the dealer. Guy that did it was a real tool.......tried telling me I was maxed out on adjustment, obviously thinking Im to dumb to know what to look at. There are still 2 full lines of adjustment left in it.

I like it! Looks nice. In your last pic of your MPG, did you notice an increase since being lowered? Just curious since its lowered and my truck is only averaging 20.2 mpg.

Im sure it played its part in helping mpg's. 98% of my driving is in town and Ive seen an increase there. 20-21 was average before lowering. Now Im averaging 23-24. The 28.7 was from my trip home last week from vacation. Ironically, it did that on the way there with the air on at 70-75 mph. On the way back, I was about 150 miles into my trip and was at 29.6 before hitting 3 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic for almost 20 miles. Got it back to 29.3 before hitting 2 more traffic jams (gotta love Ohio road work......it NEVER ends, LOL!) and ended up at 28.7 again. Unfortunately, I didnt have time to make any long trips before lowering it to get a baseline there. Id bet anything that if it werent for those traffic jams on my way home, it would have hit 30 or a bit better easily. And thats with 3" cut off the bottom of the air dam!!!

Thanks and no problem! I never had it rub anything, but with the snow around here sometimes, it would have been a plow if I left it alone. LOL! Thanks to those that posted up about cutting it down, I agreed with them that it looked better than removing it completely. Just seemed like something was missing with it completely gone.

If you look at the first pic, that was before trimming the air dam. Other than being low enough to cause some issues with snow, it looked a bit awkward to me. Also removed the spare (see why in pic). I have a 3 mile drive to work and normally never further than 30 minutes from the house. I'll just throw it in the bed for longer trips.

I've never noticed that the spare hangs down that low under the bed! To be honest, I've never used the spare on any of my vehicles in the past 20 years! Times I have needed a tire repair was from a nail, was a slow leak and I was able to get to a tire repair shop to get it fixed without the need for the spare. I probably just jinx myself by saying that! LOL!

I was gonna say that. Now you must run down the street, knock on every tree and on your way back, stop in front of everyones house and do the Truffle Shuffle (Goonies) for 30 seconds to remove the curse. LMAO!

2016 Black CCSB LT Lowered

Just curious, do you have a full size spare? I have some donut looking thing that's not much wider than a motorcycle tire! Maybe that's why I've never noticed it hanging under my truck!!! On the positive side, I may not have to remove it to lower the truck.

Nice! I was wondering if you'd start a thread with more pictures than I had seen. It looks great.

Quite a few people have mentioned that I should remove the spare. I want to, but I'm afraid not to have it. I like that little one that @Red Rock posted up. I may look into that.

I've not cut my front air dam. It just barely touches most parking barriers.

I just looked it up (I work at a dealer) and the full size spare that some of us have is a 16x8 wheel, that narrow one is an 18x4.5. That extra 2.5" of clearance would be nice. Unfortunately, the wheel lists at $300, You could probably pick one up for around $200 from a dealer willing to discount. I'd rather find someone who wants to trade their little one for my full size spare

Well thats odd, but yeah, mine is full size. That looks like the one under my Dad's WT model. Figured all the LT and higher models would have had the full size spare. I wonder what designates the difference?
