BAJA DESIGNS - Direct Fog-Light Replacement LED Pods

For those that don't follow my build thread, I just wanted to share these new direct replacement fog lights from Baja Designs! They bolt right up, plug-and-play, no modifications necessary!

https://www.bajadesigns.com/pc_combi...keyword=447582

You can choose between their Squadron Pro and Squadron Sport LED pods to install on the mounts. They also offer clear lenses if you're not a fan of the yellow. However, yellow is known for cutting through fog a lot better than white/blue lights.

I've gotten a chance to test these out for the last couple of nights, and I'm very impressed with the light output. Which isn't too surprising considering it's a total of 3,600 lumens! And I was even more impressed at how easy they were to install!

I want some but DANG! $429 if you want the version you can get in black, plus $100 for the vehicle specific mounting/harness kit? Not for some fog lights.

You really don't need the Pro's on a daily driver, in my opinion (the ones with the black face)... Those are insanely bright! You can get the Sports and easily paint/powdercoat the silver face. If you check out my build thread, it tells you how to get a discount as well

I paid around $350 for a set of Rigid 'dually' cubes(black of course), and I thought they were expensive(they were). At least they came with the harness though.

Phew nice and bright and look sharp, but do they have a defined cutoff like the Morimotos? That's what I like about the Morimotos, they don't blind everyone who is oncoming with scattered light. I also thought the Morimotos were expensive but dang yeah these are a bit aggressively priced for foglights.

Looks solid on your truck though!

I'll get a pic tonight to show the cutoff. Baja Designs quality is what constitutes the price, IMO.... Not many companies offer a LIFETIME warranty. I actually run Morimoto's HID's in my headlights, and recently had one of the bulbs go out on me after only 9 months of use. Luckily I was within the 1 year warranty period, but I'm definitely not looking forward to having to replace them on my own dime after the warranty is up.... considering the kit I bought was nearly $200.00 lol

I'd be curious to see how these compare to the fog light kit that Rigid will be releasing soon. I don't mind paying good money for a good product, but I want to get it right the first time. Thanks for the review.

With Christmas right around the corner, Baja Designs is running a special on the fog-light kits... just ask for Bailey when you call them!
And you might as well pick up a light bar as well You won't be disappointed!

In regards to the Rigid Industries fog-light kit, I don't doubt that the quality of the lights would be on par with Baja Designs.... but if you haven't seen the RI lights yet, you're in for a pretty big disappointment, in my opinion.
(Spoiler alert: they're hideous lol)

Did you ever get a picture of the cutoff against a wall. I might be replacing my morimoto if they keep failing on me

Thanks for sharing the lights and the link to them. I'm definitely going with them as my second mod. My first mod will be to get either HID's or LED's in the projectors.

I was considering LED's for the fog lights but I'd rather have the combination fog/driving lights that are way-brighter then a bulb replacement so thanks again. Your truck looks awesome.

And if you can, a shot of just the fog lights on a dark road from behind the driver seat.

I've had enough of the DDM, the MoriMoto and LED kits to know that to just get the mounting kit and the lights from BDesigns is the right way to go for me as I love extra light.

I have a Beta dual sport coming and there is a company that makes a mount for the headlight that uses the same Squadron Pro light that will buy for $300 with the custom mount/plug and play.

Quality costs $$$.

So this is with the foglights ONLY:

If you're seeking a defined cutoff, you may have to talk to Bailey at Baja Designs to see if they offer a different lens than what I have...

Those are very nice and bright. I just wish they had a better fit within the oem bezel.

Mine are aimed all the way down because I have 7" of lift and 35" tires lol the fitment is pretty spot on when they're leveled out

I was just looking at site. You could easily mount them a little further in the bezels for a more flush look. I wonder how the other lenses would differ from yours because they seem to have three styles with white/yellow option.

Just looked it up on their website they have some night shots to compare the power the foglight replacements.

The squadron Pro with Driving/Combo lenses seams to have a nice spread but hard to see what it looks like driving head on.
