Bluetooth autoplay, Android Auto

Just got my 2017 Midnight Z71 with 8" display and Bose couple weeks ago and love it. One annoying thing that I haven't figured out yet is that the radio will auto-play the last MP3 from my Android Samsung s7 edge. I just got android7 nougat update in past couple weeks too, related???. I looked again through radio & phone settings this morning and didn't notice anything to prevent it from auto-playing MP3's.

I haven't decided if I like the "projected" AndroidAuto on radio display as compared to AndroidAuto on the phone in a iOttie dock, or just using apps by themselves. In previous vehicle, I had the car dock perfectly located to right of 2 o'clock on the steering wheel and liked it there, but it won't work there with the curvy dash in Colorado. At the moment I have it on windshield to the left against A-pillar when not projecting to radio (sucks have to use USB to project AndroidAuto).

You guys having these issues? Thanks!

Before I put a couple gigs of music on a usb drive my truck would always play whatever I was listening to last on my phone(android). I thought it was the coolest thing ever, then I got the AA update on my truck thinking it would be cool. I hate that you have to connect with usb to use AA, so I just dont use it. Now the truck plays the usb drive first and I have to press media to switch to phone.

I'm not sure it is a setting on or not. My Nexus 6 running 7.1.1 doesn't auto play when I connect to Android Auto.

I dont use AA, it is a pita. Only benefit is the music gets a little louder with the usb connection, but I prefer to not mess with the cable.

Agree AA is a PITA, requires USB cable and locks the phone...I find bluetooth does everything I need it too and I rely on Waze which can't be used with AA.

Only time I'll ever go back to using AA is when Waze ever becomes available for it. I thought is was suppose to be January but I guess not.

Although Waze would be nice (which they keep saying they're going to implement 'soon') I love AA. Use it every time. Keeps me from messing with the phone while driving too.

I did hate how Pandora would auto play so turned off that setting in the Pandora app setting on the phone and turned off auto play from stored music too. Leave the radio on and play from phone/Pandora/Spotify when I want.
