Computer reset while driving

Well, I was driving along the interstate today on about an hour drive, and all of a sudden the navigation went black, radio shut off, small screen in the gauge cluster went black, gauges reset, and heard a couple maybe 4 "dings"... the engine never shut off or stumbled, just kept trucking along... then after about a minute it all started coming back on. My phone reconnected and starting playing music again, navigation came back up and rerouted, everything went back to normal. It was as if the computer just shut down and restarted.

Only thing different than my normal driving was that I was hauling an empty 10 ft trailer in tow mode.

Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

That's really weird! I've never heard of that kind of thing happening. If you're still under warranty I would personally take it into the dealer to at least have it plugged into a reader and checked. If nothing else, to just get the occurrence documented.

What exactly is the warranty? I'm over 30k miles, but still under 2 yrs. I don't remember what the warranty length is.

Drivetrain is 3 yrs 60,000. I'm not sure where the control modules fit in there.

Yes...had this happen several times last year. Screen went completely black while driving/navigating. Sometimes I could hit the HOME screen and it would come up, other times...not. One time....it was out for (what felt like) a long time and my mind started thinking...ULTIMATE DOOM.

I did end up going to the Dealer for an oil change and telling them about the situation. That....and my favorites in my favorites bar kept disappearing (they were still there, just not in my fav bar).

My truck was built in Dec. 2015. They updated some Intellilink software. The only information I have off my paperwork is...
PIT5461A
Updated Software for HMI with USB.

I'm happy to report, it hasn't happened since (knock on wood).

Mine did it three times. I keep a log book in the center console to track mileage and log what happens exactly when it happens. Dealer did an upgrade to the software and it's done it once since. Under warranty so I'll just keep logging issues and give GM a chance to fix.

Some of us that had early 2016's also had this issue. It was usually the system updating on its own but the dealer can do it as well.
Can't say this happened more once for me because I ripped the stock system out within the 1st week or so of owning mine.
