Not in my state and many others you don't :(

Sure is a lot of crap (emissions crap) to fail on a modern diesel. It didn't used to be that way.........

The alternative would be to just ban small diesels outright. Which would you prefer?

Thanks for the post! All the new commercial trucks seem to also have a DEF system, surely they are not having as many issues as I'm reading about in this forum. I wonder why this one is so problematic? Did Chevy cut corners to save cost, or have they really not yet got a handle on how to make a reliable DEF emissions system? I really like the idea of this truck and hope that Chevy can work out the issues. Surely it's costing them sales, I know it's making me weary.

Since the delete and seeing how much fuel is added at times, I think my tune was causing some of my Emission issues :)

I had issues too, but these are first year issues. Have to remember that. My issues were addressed and I believe it should be good from here.

Emission equipment falls under 80k warranty for reference. This is for people that still have the truck.

Well, I was just making an observation so your question is irrelevant. In case you missed it I was saying diesels are not as reliable as in the past because of all the emissions stuff on them now. That is all. Over and out.

On GMparts.com there is a part called the "CAT" which I would assume is actually the Downpipe/CAT combo that is about $800 and another part called the "Muffler" which we all know we don't have, so is prolly the DPF which is listed at $1200 so that doesn't could outta line for the SCR/DOC section.

That's why I saved all my stuff
