Thats a solid truck. Tastefully modded. How's your fuel economy now with the lift, and larger tires? Did you correct the speedometer? I'm looking to do something very similar with my 'rado.

EDIT: also, what did you do about the Light bar and Pods switch and how'd you wire them up. I'm looking to do something similar to that soon. Mostly just looking for idea's on how to do mine when I get around to it.

2016 Black Colorado Z71 4x4

- Current Mods: Air Dam Delete; WeatherTech floor liners; LED Bed-Lighting Mod;30" double row Xprite light bar; Tablet setup for nav;
Hard-wired dash cam to fuse box;

Thanks for the kind words! Fuel economy is around 17-18 combined. I corrected the speedo with the diablo intune device.

I wired them up to all work off of one switch. I just tapped into the main power for the bumper bar with the pods and it all worked. The switch is in the little cubby near the cigarette lighter.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need more details/pics of something.

Great looking pics. Thanks for sharing.

I live in Scal and I'm always looking for new trails. Did you go with a group of friends or a Tour outfitter? Where is a good starting point for a 1 day version of your trip?

Thanks! Where in SoCal are you from? We went as a group of friends. All of us have significant offroad experience however. Is your truck 4x4 or 2wd? I can go through my GPS file and figure out a good route for you depending on your drivetrain. Also, would you be going alone?

I have a 2WD and usually do solo trips out here in Hungry Valley and Rohrer Flats in Agua Dulce. Live in the San Fernando Valley.

Kind of a trek to go for just a day trip. I would definitely recommend bypassing the river crossing being 2wd. There are so many roads out there and different ways to go, the best is to just jump on google earth and make a gps trail. It could be easy to get lost out there too being there are roads going everywhere. Shoot me a PM and i can try and go into more detail.

Yeah. Could you post some pics of that up? So they're all on 1 switch, like an all or nothing kinda deal?

I took the wire harness for the main bumper light bar and tapped into the power going to the light bar with these:

I did that with both pod lights rather than hook them up to their own power sources from the battery and relay harness. I will try and get some actual pictures later today. They are all 3 or nothing. I couldn't figure out an instance where I would want just the bumper bar or just the pods on and not the other.

Thanks! What plans do you have for yours?

It was Big Bear. It was right past snow summit I believe just before Radford truck trail, which we took to get down the mountain.

Would you mind posting a couple of pics for how the pods are mounted? Your truck is awesome! Hope to enjoy some off roading soon in the '15 Canyon!

I'm in Placentia. And work in Santa Ana. Would love to meet up with some second gen owners and see what everyone is doing to their trucks. I have long list of mods and short on funds! Hahaha.

I just ordered the icon stage 4 lift, just haven't decided what size rims or tires to get yet. I have a friend that owns Industrial Motoring in Anaheim, hopefully he can get me a good price on the wheel setup and what combo to choose. Iam looking for some nice trails to do some weekend warrior stuff with the new lift.

Just order the 3rd SuperSkidz from SuperModulation! Excited to get it as my other plates have taken a solid beating already. Also, got word that the Long Travel kit lower arms from Bajakits have been sent to the laser cutter to be cut! Exciting!

Did you drill into the bed of your truck to mount the rotopax?

Project Radrunner

Here is an update:
I haven’t done much to the truck lately other than add some new scratches and pinstripes. I do have an update on my long travel kit however! It has been laser cut and the basic frame has been tack welded! A few more weeks to go. I have to figure out what I'm going to do for fenders. . . I want to do Fiberwerx but might be stuck with McNeil.
