Overland Build

So, was holding off on making a thread, simply because I havent done much to my truck yet, the ball is starting to roll. So here goes.

My ultimate goal is to have a truck that I can use to commute to work and such as my daily, but be able to take cross country road trips and get off the beaten path. Fuel economy is a bit of an issue here, but thats the price you pay for overlanding vehicles.

- Current Mods:
Quote:
Air Dam Delete;
WeatherTech floor liners;
15% Ceramic Window Tint for the front windows;
LED Bed-Lighting Mod;
30" double row Xprite light bar mounted with Rough Country's light bar bumper mount;
- Planned Mods:
Quote:
1.75"-3" Icon Vehicle Dynamics Coilover stage 2 lift;
Falken AT3W 265/70/R17;
Skids;
Mud flaps;
BNR tune;
SoftTopper;
Drawer system for the bed of the truck, after I've installed a softtopper;
Jerry cans or rotopax;

This is my 2016 z71 4x4 the day after I brought it home from the dealer.

I waited about 2 or so weeks and took off the Air Damn. It was super easy, just a little time consuming.

I went out to Ocala National Forest with a few buddies of mine. Had a blast but this was around the time I realized I needed bigger tires and a lift to fit them all. So I'll probably be waiting till black friday for when Icon does a pretty big sale on their suspension kits.

---------------------------------------------------

I installed some LED's to the bed of my truck. After I get a softtopper, this will really help out. You can see more about the install here. LED Bed lighting on a '16 rado

Being that this will ultimately be an overlanding rig, I need a way to keep food cold. I wont be out for weeks at a time, but I'll need to keep everything cold for a few days at a time without all the ice melting immediately. I picked up this RTIC 65 right before the settlement between Yeti and RTIC for dirt cheap to handle the food storage for me.

Next up was the light bar. Need that for all the mall-crawling I'll be doing here in Central Florida.

And a little demo of the light.

i am doing this as well. very money and time consuming. I am wondering if anyone is worried about the added weight for the gear we are mounting with the stock suspension? awesome topic and awesome looking light bar. what brand did you go with?

I wont be keeping stock suspension for long. Just waiting for the black Friday sale to get the Icon setup.

As for the light bar, i used an Xprite bar.
