Yep. As soon as I eliminate the rest of my pesky student loans, some skids will be the first thing I purchase. Hoping by May I'll be there.

We can test this more when the cover comes in :)

EDIT: I have word from UC that RTTs can be used, though a 3rd crossbar is likely to be required. Good news there.

FedEx freight stopped by today :)

Wow! I didn't realize you had ordered it already (I must have missed that part earlier). That's good, it means they're in stock at UC. Maybe mine will arrive soon.

I placed the order Thursday, I was actually surprised it came that quick. $1307 plus tax and free shipping is what I got it for. It beat most of the Amazon stuff I ordered Friday.
I ordered it from Jet.com using coupons.

Here it is.

Install was relatively easy and if it wasn't for having to align it the task would've been rated super easy.

Had to go to work for round two so I didn't get to finish installing the crossbars or led lighting. Traffic at 9pm is so nice compared to 6am :)

I drive overland to the state parks. However I do like to go explore some back roads and camp on BLM lands. Here is a picture trying out the RTT, I really hate sleeping on the ground. The Tuff Stuff RTT is the most affordable tent on the market and best bang for the buck. People look at me weird with that tent on there when driving.

Looks awesome! Can we get more pics of the rack and you're whole set up? Are you running a FS spare?

Edit: saw you're in Vancouver, WA! My family is from there. Visit relatively awesome. Need to get back up there with the truck to explore.

Thanks! I have a video I took of my trip on how everything was setup, I will have to upload it. The racks are from relentless fab for a 2015 Tacoma I used to had I just cut them and welded them to fit.

It is a nice place to visit when its not raining every day, summers are the best time to be here. I live a little north and have Gifford Pinchot national forest about 45 min from my house. I have been trying to find some lakes up there that are somewhat easy to access but seem to be too remote for my truck without beating it up.

I purchased my 2016 Colorado Crew Cab Short Bed Duramax to build into an overland camper. Currently I have:
An ARE Cap
Tepui RTT
Adding a Baja Rack to mount to the cap for the RTT
The Icon Stage 2 lift has been ordered
4 275 70 17 BGF All Terrain K02s have been ordered

These modifications plus all safety, recovery and camping gear will be loaded for a few shake down trips this spring/summer and then a trip out to Ouray Co for the Alpine loop and surrounding areas, Moab and some of the other parks in Utah depending on the heat. Initially it will be focused on sight seeing (using as many dirt tracks as possible), camping, fishing, hiking, exploring ect. with my wife and two kids.

Later in the summer the plan is to add

Under body and body protection
Bumpers
Winch

I spoke to an ARB rep and a shop that sells ARB and the rumor is they have brought over the summit bar, sliders, body protection and a bunch of other stuff for the Holden Colorado and fit it to a Chevy Colorado. So, trying to get some early release ARB kit...hopefully they bring a rear bumper with a swing away tire carrier.
