I have an 04 EXT cab with the stock Bucket seats. Its a long story but I need to know what it takes to remove the center console between the 2 seats. Has anyone done it. Appreciate any help.

I will be putting one in soon, but it should be extremely easy. from what I can tell it bolts over the same locations that hold down the seats, just undo those, pull it out and bolt the seats back down.

Take out the four bolts for the seats. There are two in the front and two in the back. Remove seats. The center console has a couple of clips so all you have to do is push the center console towards the dash and they should come off the clips. Remove console and you are finished.

I just did this in an 05 two weeks ago. There is a saddle type bracket that is held in by the rear inboard bolts of each seat. Once you remove those, there are two clips at about the middle of the console then two more at the front.
Be careful while pulling up on the console, it WILL crack if you manhandle it
Also, while lifting it out, be aware of a plastic aligning pin at the forward end of the console between the two clips. If you lift the back to steeply before the front is loose, you will bend/snap this pin. It isn't super important, but why needlessly break stuff?
Good luck
