OnStar and tire pressure

My new 2010 Colorado came with OnStar. I have yet to get a Maintenace Report for tire pressure. I have contacted OnStar and they said they are having difficulties sending tire pressure reports for my model.
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

Re: OnStar and tire pressure

They dont do tire pressure anymore on our trucks. I have a G8 GT Pontiac and they do it on that, but not the Colorados anymore, they use to.

Re: OnStar and tire pressure

I think the DIC has to show the actual air pressure in each tire for OnStar to monitor. I have an '08 Chevy Equinox and you can press the info. button and get the actual pressure in each tire and the actual % of oil life left. I get a monthly e-mail showing this info. The DIC on the Colorado only has a warning for low pressure and oil change needed.

Re: OnStar and tire pressure

I have never gotten one on my '09 either. I did finally use the onstar pop the lock feature the other day. Somehow had both sets of keys locked in the vehicle. I still don't think it's worth the money to keep the service up after the year.

Re: OnStar and tire pressure

On my '09 Colorado, I got a tire pressure reading in my first OnStar diagnostic email (May '09) but haven't gotten one since. On my wife's '09 Impala, I get tire pressure readings in each month's email. I thought I had messed up something on the Colorado. Thanks for asking the question; now I know it's not just me.

Re: OnStar and tire pressure

My 08 sends the email that says that tire pressure is ok but doesn't list individual pressures.
I had every intention of not renewing the OnStar after the first year. They send out an email to renew but there wasn't a "do not renew" choice there so I got in the truck and pushed the On* button.
Before we got done, they had lowered the price to $12.95 per month, added 100 phone minutes and added 6 months of directions service.
-I like the hands free phone which has better range/coverage than my cell.
-I like the emergency response (even though I hope I never use it).

I renewed for another year.
