Then there is me at the other end of the spectrum...I bought the truck because I like the truck. I dont give a damn if its a Chevy, Ford, Volvo, or whatever. I made the dealer remove the license plate frame emblazoned with their name and web address because I'm not paying $45k for a truck to give them free advertising.

Truth be told, I actually did offer to let them leave it on for the mere advertising fee of $5,000. Considering I typically drive my vehicles for 10 years I thought that was a hell of a deal.

Now, I do have to agree...anyone getting their panties in a wad over all this....really needs to seek professional help, and travel the world a bit.

Not only is this the dumbest thread on here.... but the OP literally has a profile picture of a blacked out emblem

I wonder if Chevy reLly hates the ZL1 as they cut the whole center out of the bow tie. Lol!

People just blsckmthem out for styling much like some debadgevthe cars to clean up the clutter.

To call them traitors is going a bit far.

Just because it does not hit your taste is all it means.

The truth is the gold turns many off a like me I with they would return the red outlined bow tie to many models.

Some like billet some like the lighted black bow tie from Chevy. It is just different strokes for different folks. They are just trying to make their Chevy stand out as their own.

Sorry...this is the dumbest thing I have ever read. Its a truck!! There are many things in ones life that should bring a sense of pride...ones family...ones accomplishments, even ones home...but a truck and even more the brand of Truck! That is just sad and pathetic!

I would never black out the tail gate bow tie on my Colorado, but I did remove it altogether (along with the Z71 decals).
