Ok i was woundering if the colorado/s10 are the same inside the engine bay. so if that the case no one would want to work on the engine in the colorado? like know one likes to work on the s10 engine.

oh sorry i was talking about how the two engines are impacked or not on the colorado like the s10.

Let me begin by saying I'm not bilingual, and if I was, my choice for a second language would not be californian, but I think the answer to your question is "No".

The engines are completely different. 2.8 I4 & 3.5 I5 in Colorado and 2.2 I4 & 4.3 V6 in S10. The Colorado is a COMPLETE redesign from the ground up, not a single component has been crossed over between the two (other than those god-awful seats, I can say this because I had them in my S10)

The Colorado is wider than the S10, so as far as room to work inside the engine bay there is more room in the Colorado, especially considering it is only avail. with inline style engines. Lots of room either side(in comparison to the S10), not necessarily lots of room front to back. Hope that helps.

Umm, I think the answer is NO. The I5 gives you more room to work. There isn't a whole lot you would need to do on the sides of this engine. With the spark plugs down the middle of the engine, they are a breeze to change. This engine doesn't have a distributor so there is no need to lay on the engine to change the cap and wires. For that matter, there are no spark plug wires either. The A/C evaporator is under the dashboard instead of sticking into the engine bay so there is room there also. There is more room between the radiator and belts ( or so it seems by looking at the S10 I'm sitting in now) so the belt looks easier to change. Oh and I can only hope the seat comment is also wrong because the seats in this s10 are horrible. I like mine much better, but I'll have to see what they are like in 12 years.

That has absolutely no effect whatsoever on your spelling skills, or lack thereof.
