Hey Blue. My license plate bulbs keep burning out starting with flickering then going out completely. Only takes a couple days sometimes. What brand have you had the least issues with?

I wish I could give you a positive answer to it. I ordered some JDM Astar 194 bulbs and had to swap out both sides already. I'm working on trying to figure out if it's the bulbs or the circuitry.

Just picked up the Sylvania cool white LEDs. Going to try them out. Not as bright as I would like but works and hopefully will last longer.

I got the H11 bulb kit from Genssi. How do these bulbs fit in? The bulbs in the kit twist in, but when I removed my stock bulbs, they unclip and pull straight out.

the H11 low beams should twist and lock in. The 5202 fog light beams clip in and pull straight out.

from my understanding is that it uses a small amount of light from the center dome light. I swapped my dome light out and that light is now the same white as the dome light

I've been looking for some 5202 LED fogs, but I keep finding them referred to as 5202 (H16). Are H16s actually the same as 5202 and will they interchange? I can't find a definitive answer anywhere.

I was looking to do these for fogs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ILKUDVG...=IWFJ40Y5AG5IK

and these for high beams https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ILKUDQG...=II0YW40CRUDWB

I got the same ones in a 9005 for my high beams. They work great.

I've always used cheap amazon/ebay LED's in all my vehicles and always had issues at some point with them. I as well went with the Sylvania cool white bulbs for my interior and starting to work on the exterior now. They are the Super Bright Sylvania 6000k with the lifetime warranty. They are insanely expensive compared to what I usually use but I doubt they will be an issue down the road.

As far as them not being bright, take the sunglasses off! The stock bulbs don't even compare to the brightness of these!

Right now I only have them in my license plate lights, so I can't really do a good comparison. When my interior ones start to go out, I'll be swapping them with the Sylvania's. They don't stay lit up as much so they should last longer. I drive about 45 minutes to work in the mostly dark and after dark back home so the LP lights are on for at least an hour and half 5 days a week. I guess thats why the cheapos went bad so quick. So far these Sylvanias have not flickered one bit and still brighter than stock.

(Sorry blue for hi-jacking the thread)

Will a 31mm festoon light fit in the visor? I know it calls for a 30mm, just wondering if anyone has fit a 31mm in there?

Hey Blue, thanks for the detailed write up. Very informative. How are your HID's holding up? Why do we not need a relay harness on the Colorado? I've read about some others having issues with all kinds of different HID kits from the expensive Morimoto's to the cheap eBay ones, so I'm kind of reluctant, but I really wanna install them.
