Dirty Harry Trivia

Anybody remember this gem?:
"But being that this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk?"

Well, at the time the .44mag was the world's most powerful(production) handgun.
Not any more!

Just picked up this baby today.
Although they make 700gr. rounds for it(hard cast), I couldn't find any. I had to settle for 540gr.

Very nice,
I prefer my long sticks to hand-helds, especially if they have 700gr in the rounds.

I believe you are now officially "loaded for bear".

Nice one you got there...

I though the .44 Auto Mag from Sudden Impact was more powerful than the .44 Magnum. I know both use the same cartridge.

That will be an interesting thread.... with all sorts of callibers, types, brands of handguns. Will be interesting take a poll and see what is the preffered one.

I know the best weapon in the world is..... the one that you have in the fight.

I loved this quote. Callaghan asked his boss, "Do you have any kids?"

His boss replied, "No."

Callaghan told him, "Lucky for them."

Mayor: Callahan, I don't want anymore trouble like you had in the Fillmore district. Understand? That's my policy.
Harry Callahan: Yeah, well when an adult male chases a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard. That's my policy.
Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through a dark alley with a butcher knife and a hard-on, I figure he's not out collecting for the Red Cross.

Finally got around to shooting it.
Ran some Aguila 300gr through it. Not much recoil(for a .500)...felt like shooting a .44.
https://youtu.be/AzhQAYbihgg
Just ordered some DoubleTap 440gr rounds, which are said to throw down 2900 FOOT-LBS OF MUZZLE ENERGY!!!
That's roughly TWICE what the Aguilas do, so I'm assuming they're gonna kick a tad

Here we go..THE MOTHERLOAD.
These rounds are 440gr., and produce 2900ft-lbs of muzzle energy.
HANDS DOWN the most powerful handgun/rounds I've ever fired.
OUCH!
