Re: Review of syncron's HID's **Big Pics 56k Stay Away**

i didnt buy your kit syncron or a vvme kit off of ebay..however i did buy a kit and installed it last night that uses the same balasts. and bulbs. 1/2 a dozen in one 6 in the other...

the vvme kits go on ebay from anywhere to 42.00-62.00(shipped) the kit i bought was in that price range and carries the same 14 month warranty. my point of this post is that the install was similar, driverside sucks we know this.

bulbs were tight...we know this. reverse polarity we know this. so in the end ill let ya know how it works out.

Re: Review of syncron's HID's **Big Pics 56k Stay Away**

I am having a problem with my hids (again). I bought 2 sets from syncron a while back (lows and fogs). The first problem happened a few months after installation. One of the ballasts on the lows went bad. Instead of paying the $40 for shipping to have the ballast replaced, I just bought a new set off of ebay for $60. I haven't put the new set in yet, since I usually drive with the fogs only, with the lows off. I have oem bulbs in the lows, and vvme hids in the fogs.

The other day, one of the fog hid's started to blink on and off constantly. I don't know if it is a bad ballast again, a bad bulb, or a bad connection. When the ballast went bad in the highs, it didn't blink, it just stopped working altogeter. Any input on what the culprit might be?

If it is a bad ballast in the 9005's, can I use one of the spare ballasts that I have from the 9006's, or are the ballasts non-interchangeable?

so my drivers side headlight has gone out...could be bad bulb, ballast or possible connection...wont be able to check it out for about a week but in the mean time, i saw on vvme.com that i could get an extra ballast or bulb...as far as the ballast i should be getting the 12v 55w correct?

nevermind...says 35w on the ballast itself so ordered the 35w ballast but it does make me think...isnt the original stock bulb 55w? why wouldnt we have gotten a 55w ballast then as well when we did the group order?

Because they didn't make 55watt ballasts yet. And also, because the 35watt HID are already brighter than a 55watt halogen. Go do some research about HIDs.

Fogs are 9045 I think, but the 9005 high-beam bulbs will also fit.
