to C'Fans.

The "receiver' for the Remote Keyless Entry fob is the BCM (Body Control Module). It is located behind the right kick panel. If you are not sure where the right kick panel is, sit in the passenger seat with your legs out and move your right leg to the right until it contacts the "wall". That is the right kick panel.

If it has power door locks it should have Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) It would be part of the Power Convenience Package option, ZQ6. If you want to know if the truck was produced with the remote option, look on the inside if the glove box door. There should be a decal there with a lot of three digit codes for the installed equipment. Look for the code "ZQ6".

You can purchase the key fobs from many sources, but if you want to buy them from someplace, other than a Dealer, make sure that they are compatible with your truck. It will require a trip to a Dealer to program any remotes to your truck.

If you call your local dealer with your serial number they will tell you. I know i've done it for my 05'Canyon. I bought it used without remote and after the dealer told me it came with remote, I bought remote online and had it programmed at the dealer. They need to be program at the dealer.

I ordered two from amazon for $13 shipped and paid $50 to have them both programmed at a local locksmith. Stealership was charging me $75 per remote.

I found this on YouTube to program your key fobs yourself without going to the dealer. I tried it on my 05 Canyon but I have a bad BCM. If this does work, let the rest of us know.

I'm curious if that video will work for the L2C0007T as well. For my '06. The site seems to be down. I suppose i could test my single only remaining keyfob and see what happens.
