turbo omg turbo turbo turbo!!!!

lately turbo is the only thing on my mind. I WANT turbo for my truck!! my I5 is already pretty quick turbo would make it insane!!! several questions!!

Where can i find a turbo kit for a colorado??

Can the engine handle the turbo with no modifications to the internal parts??

If i cant find a turbo, or if it is too expensive to be worth it, what can i do to make my truck super fast??

i know it has a lot of potential just have to get it to reach its potential!!!

Re: turbo omg turbo turbo turbo!!!!

Yes, it can be done but like the guy before me said, it would be 100% custom. The stock engine could handle a small amount of boost, but I wouldn’t push it past 5-6 pounds. TO get into the teens you would have to do some lower end forging, and while you were there i would recommend lowering the compression ratio a tad. You'll have to take a lot of other things in account too, rear end strength (wheel hop), Injectors being pushed 100% duty cycle, Tuning, Intercooler plumbing and mounting, custom header/downpipe (unless you go remote), and the list will go on and on... Guys it's a 5 Cyl, that doesn’t really support heavy modifications, and I don’t blame GM for that at all. They made it an affordable option for middle class people to get bed space, crew cab, and have 4wd.

If you want something to be fast, go out and buy a 2500 HD, and rape the shit out of it, and run mid to high 11's with it.

2006 Metallic Blue Colorado 7Z1: 3" SM keys, 2" rear shackels, 15% tinted windows, Kenwood KDC-X494 HU, Infinity Kappa 6.1 perfect all around. Infinity 475a amp, remote start/alarm.
2007 cobalt SS/SC: sold
2012 Raven R1 to many mods to list .

Nowhere. Its going to be 100% custom as everyone has already said.

Yes, up to 9-10psi. But you'll still need bigger injectors.

Tune, e-fan, ported TB, header, CAI, exhaust... all the same stuff that's been discussed 475639389 times.

That about sums it up.

180 RWHP 2.8 and still needing to dyno and tune for the custom cams.

Re: turbo omg turbo turbo turbo!!!!

if all you want is a better 1/4 ime why not spray?
youd be impressed what an intake, efan, header w/cat back and a tune can do for your truck. night and day :D
Try the search, with a little reading you can see what people have done and how it can properly be done just be prepared to $$$

Re: turbo omg turbo turbo turbo!!!!

Its only available for the I5.... and its not even released yet. Your best bet is to save up a lot of money and fab up your own turbo or supercharger kit.
