Local Tuner Bend Oregon or PCMforless

I live in Bend Oregon and have called a few shops and no one seems to know anyone that tunes my truck in my area. Does anyone know anyone near me that tunes?

I also have been reading about PCMforless or pcmofnc.com tunes here. J-Bo's article was awesome and it seems that might be my way to go.

Well the two places I thought did it were Truck Toyz and Performance Authority, but they do not.

I got a BNR tune for my truck, and even though we are geographically separated, they have been tweaking my truck tune. I just data log as I'm driving, send them the logs, and they make adjustments as needed. Great folks to work with, and you don't have to live in the same city!

Thanks for the info on BNR. I am currently looking at a PCMforless tune if I go the mail in route. I would much rather work face to face with someone locally...

He was extremely patient with my ignorance on tuning, looking forward to getting the tune in my truck.

James did a great job. So far a notice a good difference in throttle response. Super simple process of getting the PCM tuned.

When I researched this in my area (a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, DC) a couple years ago, I couldn't find anyone in the region who knew a thing about tuning our trucks. Nowhere in Virginia, DC, or Maryland. I actually considered driving to North Carolina, but instead did their "advanced exchange" program, where they send you a unit, plug it in, send them yours, they program it and send it back, then you return the loaner... this was the only way I could do it because my truck is my daily driver and I don't have any other vehicles. One of the options I specified was to turn off that lousy PassLock, that's always preventing people from starting their vehicles. I was a bit aprehensive about using the loaner but it worked great!
