Re: EXHAUST SYSTEM MEDIA DATABASE

so my question is does any exaust sound good on an I4 or is that just something I lost out on when buying an I4 because I think I need a new muffler regardless as I think its dropped a baffle.

Ive done a lot of reaserch on these exhausts and found that this would be the exact sound I need. I was going to install the super 40 but found that a lot of you guys on the site were complaining about too much noise in the cab and sounding a little ricey at high rpms. I would highly recomend purchasing the 50 series delta flow.

PS The clip in the database sounds good but in person the exhaust sounds freekin awsome.
Awesome!!!
Thanks for the info!
I think this is gonna be my next mod :)

Re: EXHAUST SYSTEM MEDIA DATABASE

Also, are you using the original exhaust pipes? And if you're not? Do you have any idea what diameter the stock pipes are? 2"? 2.25"?

Re: EXHAUST SYSTEM MEDIA DATABASE

I absolutely love the way that sounds. I think I might be sold. Is yours actually one in one out? Or do you have a Y on it after the muffler?

Slightly better video, less wind noise.

Re: EXHAUST SYSTEM MEDIA DATABASE

i got the super 44 on mine. there is a drone inside which i only think its really loud when i lightly step on the pedal at certain rpm. i dont care tho i love it, it gives me the feeling that my truck is super powerful cause of the sound + the slight vibration.

i love that "WAWAWAWAWA" during the idle and light take off. in the cab i cant here that wawawa when i really take off or going high speeds but i think its cuz the sound is behind me and im moving fast bcause iv been told that ppl do hear it as i drive by, idk but i really hope so tho becaue thats what i really wanted....

as for the muffler configuration, i realized everyone is suggesting offset in/ center out and others like that and that their mufflers are sloped or turned up and such... well thats what i didnt want, the best thing for these trucks is something called "same side offset" i couldnt find it on the flowmaster website so i googled images of "same side offset Super 44" and found it. took note of the part number then went back to flowmaster site and looked for it by part number. found it. ordered it. bam. it lays parallel with the truck. only a small section of pipe was added out the outlet, and he welded on a hanger that fits the stock rubber donut perfectly where the hangar of the stock muffler went.

check out my new 44 for yourself tho
