Door seal

Driving down the hwy I have the windows up and ac going, and on the passenger door you hear the air coming in and it's loud.

Do I need a new seal? Or can anyone help.

Thanks

Are you sure it is air comingnp in? I have had the AC some times sound like the passenger window is open.

It is just an odd sound effect I have heard in my other cars once in a while.

As to if you need a seal find the leak first. I bet it is just the AC.

With the ac off. It's the same. As if the door seal is not doing its job. On the driver side I don't get that Air coming in.

Probably a simple adjustment then. If you can not find it let the dealer do it under warranty. Not much to the gaskets here and if one is out of place it should show.

" If you can not find it let the dealer do it under warranty. "

This is posted in the "1st Gen" Forum. . unless the OP has a 2nd Gen truck, not likely to be under warranty.

One way to possibly check and see if there is a substantial door seal leak is to turn the HVAC fan on the highest setting with the windows cranked up. Then, exit the truck and walk over to the passenger side and see if you can hear or feel an air leak somewhere.

Also, sometimes the rubber door seal can slip out of place or alignment. They are just pressed into place and held in with a friction fit or clips/fasteners. OP could try checking both the rubber door seal and also window channel seal and see if they slipped out of place or worn.

Not that it will satisfy your complaint but just for info, it's not air coming in but rather air going out. Try taking painters tape or like product and tape off door seams etc to isolate the area....or take it to the dealer and have warranty fix it. I'm assuming it's still covered?
