Any aftermarket intake will be one helluva lot more effective than "ram air".

Ram air doesn't really work until you're well over 100mph.

whats it cost for the ram air once you already have the hood? is it worth it? if you did not hook up a ram air to the hood, would the hood still help cool the engine bay a decent amount?

Well the air vents point derectly at the intake....so yeah its better. All I have is a custom made elbow and a filter...take a look at my gallery...I have a picture there somewhere of my engine bay...the cost....well the intake you pick....I use to have a airaid heat shield, but had to remove it for the hood. But it is worth it IMO.

If the height of the AEM box is about the same as the stock box,Than I don't see why not...But there is a risk...I think keystone (same company of my hood) has a intake available for are trucks..they tell you which one is recommened for there hood.

give it a try,look:

This is what I read up on the website

Add optional part GH-GBX35 for fully functional ram-air upgrade [3.5/5 cylinder engine].

with a compressor, this hood will pretty much only be useful for cooling the engine bay...will that help out the compressors performance (not sure whether ill turbo or super charge yet)

I think im going to buy the Goodmark 2" Ram Air hood.

Does that let heat escape out the back like the 2" cowl?
and does anybody have the raim air hood with an airraide intake?

I said yes, I do have a ram air...with a airaid...but i had to remove the heat shield to be able to fit it..(basically just a filter)

As for the cowl...I think it does release the hot air....unless,thats the rk sport one.One of my buddies has that hood in this web-site.
