Default Red Leer cap on Black crew cab?

Hey guys,
I don't know how to make this into a poll so I am just going to ask your opinion.
I kind of like the look of the flat top caps on our truck. I don't like spending too much money and I found a pretty decent deal on a Leer 100XL. It looks to be in good condition and fits my truck perfectly. The cap is Red w/ black tinted windows and my truck is black w/ red accessories (LEDs, Shocks, air ram intake, sub enclosure, etc.).
Now here are my questions.

Should I:
Purchase it at all?
Keep it red or paint it black?
Paint it w/ black designs?

Paint it black, if you can afford to have it painted. What I mean is, i did that on my old S-10 and painted it myself (gloss black). It turned out "okay" but I don't recommend the headache...

I would be painting it myself. I have my own gun and equipment. I have painted a few automotive parts. Each time you do it, it becomes less of a headache. I would most likely paint it with a flat black to match my bowtie and front/rear bumper (need to paint those too).

Its nice that it also has the Thule Tracks to put the Foot Kit and Bars on it.
If u get it - keep an eye out on Craigs for those parts, Ive scored all my stuff that way for pennies on the dollar.
You would need either the 430 or 430r, depends on the load bar style (430 is the standard square bar)
Oh, paint it.

Thanks for the info but actually I will be removing those rails and putting on my own OEM GM rails to match the roof rack I have on the cab. If I do end up getting it next weekend I already have a buyer for the rails that are on there lol.

Well now thats a different ball game there then. I wish I had my own paint booth! Back when I did mine it was a carport and a few cans of gloss black! Huge PITA...

I wouldn't say I have a booth lol I have done it in 3 story parking garages, car ports, one car garages, outside and booths. Altough if I end up painting the whole thing I will most likely do something that will be unveiled once I am finished.

Well, I have seen booths that are sort of a plastic "tent" with some filters and fans. That would even be great for me as much little parts as I paint...
