Default Tail Lights

Has anyone ever tinted theirs yourself? I've been hearing about some stuff you can buy at advance auto to spray them yourself. If anyone has done it, how hard is it?

I just found these, http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=28464831111

Good deal or no? I don't really know much about lights and what not

I have mine done and they look great. You can get them at auto zone/advanced auto for about $13. Its very easy, just point and spray. Just remember to clean them very well and apply clear coat.

Hey yall, I got my truck back from the dealer today. Had to get some stuff looked at. Got it back and noticed my right taillight. Idk what happen. Anyone know if it'll come out when I sand them to tint them? Or if not, if it'll be visible after they're tinted? Sorry for crappy quality. Camera phone and it the garage didn't help any.

If it wasn't there before you took it in I would take it back to the dealer and make them do something.

I'm thinking about it. They already gave me heck for "fixing" my truck though without a warranty. I just wanted to see if it'll be visible first. If so, I'll be calling them soon.

Yeah, man. If they jacked up your tail light take it back and make them replace it. Don't let them jerk you around.

As for your original question, follow the how-to Naskie18 posted. I did the same to my truck, not as dark, but it still came out well. Be sure to take your time and do it correctly the first time.

Hey mine is peeling the same way... was going to get aftermarket stuff one of these millenia... Naskie that looks to dark to be safe (I love it BTW) and would be an obvious ticket in MO.

I looks dark when off, but the light shines through it fine when the lights are illuminated, and during the day you can actually even still see the red reflectors in the lens when the sun hits it.

I think people are actually thankful I did it, I made my own LED tail lights which are ridiculously bright, so I think having them go through the niteshades actually brings them back to a much more reasonable level.

I am rather surprised I haven't been stopped for them, though (but I certainly hope that trend continues ;) )
